Our family is enjoying Flip7 card game lately and was playing almost every day. Created an app to make it more fun and engaging by creating an app to manage the daily score and to make it a weekly, monthly competition for leaderboard. https://flip7battle.com/. Only available in apple store for now. It was fun to create and use this app.
I have blocked the card the moment I noticed it. I informed my credit card company and appsumo same day. Yet appsumo is preventing chatgeback which I think very unethical for a reputed company. It is evident that these putchases are transferred to another account and appsumo is not willing to look into it
Appsumo is not responding to any of my tickets and this is now more than one month. Since they are submitting fake documents and not helping to figure out the fraudulent transaction, I don’t have any means but to go legally. Anyone please, can you advise on what to do in these scenario?
I submitted a chargeback with my credit card provider after I detected this fraudulent transaction. To that, appsumo replied back by giving a false ip report that is not related to me. I had purchased a small product from their site one year back and they are submitting those information. This fake transaction was for 600 usd and I strongly suspect there is security breach in appsumo as the purchased products are transferred to another account.
I am after them when my card was charged huge amounts. Don't know what's happening. When i logged in i can see that products are bought from my account and transferred to other account. Their support is non existent for the last 3 days at this critical time for me. How can a reputed company behave like this?
We have several communication channels and all things are updated daily in details to the client. All the work items are tracked and what we have done could be checked. No soft lies for the client. We have openly communicated everything to the client.Yes we are from different culture (Asia).
Yes, this makes perfect sense. If we get a middle ground solution, it will be good. De-escalating looks good on paper, but we are dealing a monster here; When i say abusive, it is not like martin scorese or tarantino films level. It is beyond that. I like your idea about "nanny" but withstanding this person might be asking for lot from a nanny.
"In no way dependent" means we are not absolutely depending on this one. This will have an impact on us for a short time for sure as we have acquired new resources and have blocked existing resources. We need to explore the options. If there is no middle ground, obviously, we need to get rid of this client. I am not getting the alternative you have put forth, out of curiosity, on what ground we will be asking; for hearing the abuses?; then this 10x will not be enough :)
Yes, our project manager was taking all the hits as this was a new project and hoping that the situation will change. Now he has shared us a few sample communications and we could not even hear the first few minutes of videos.
Yes that removing is simple at first. Whenever we onboard a client we are taking a small risk by allocating and blocking the resources. This might not be a problem for big and medium sized companies but for a budding company like us this has a hidden effect. We would have been devastated if this was our first or second client.
We are collecting all the videos and text abusive communications now. Have a ton of them now. We are looking for a way to strongly communicate to the client that we will not be tolerating this. We prepared an email but that that seems trivial compared to what he has done through his text and video communications.
can access github, archive.org, and pastebin through BSNL, Indian State owned telecommunications company. EDIT: Major news paper in India reports it was b/c of contents related to ISIS and the ban was removed later http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/features/smartbuy/tech-n...
My wild guess is that, the version of the ubuntu for that droplet is not supported now. Yes from a learning perspective this is fine. But you cannot recover the droplet from malware is not a pleasant news.
This is my second incidence in a span of one month. Just search and you can find a large number of such incidences in digitalocean. When this happens, the options to resolve are very minimal. I can see that some strange files are being created inside the /boot/directory of that droplet. DigitalOcean support says, only option is to just create another droplet and migrate. I thought in this situation i could install a malware scanner and remove the threat or is this the standard state of addressing security?
At the moment, i am considering moving back to Linode. I dont have experience with S3 but will give a try as i am not very sure about what will happen in Linode too
But the general picture for the one who frequents to HackerNews to get about DigitalOcean is that they are very good at resolving issues and my experience now is very bitter. I will not rely on them for hosting anything important. Considering to move on. They have not replied to my ticket and now my blog is down. previously it got down for two days and finally i moved to new droplet.
I dont understand why repackaging is bad for Cmder. I was desperately looking for cmd alternative and found Console 2 a few years back. Then heard about ConEmu but it didn't made me even to try but Cmder did.
Introduction to Hadoop and Mapreduce course seems to have the right amount of content. It could be completed in one sitting and content is polished, well presented , and easy to grasp. Respect to Cloudera faculty. As an added bonus, uses python instead of java for examples.
ISRO has commercial wing called Antrix corporation. Just search for the scientists and top officers involved in the scam exposed in 2011. The given link is from The Hindu, most reputed daily in India.
Agree with most of what you say. But before jumping into portraying a shoe string salary take into account the "corruption adjusted benefits" that Google and other companes could not offer [http://www.thehindu.com/opinion/editorial/behind-the-sband-s...]
Currently I am reading this book in Safari Books Online and it looks excellent. I was not a fan of PacktPub but Lately they are releasing excellent books like Mastering Web development with AngularJS and Learning IPython for interactive computing besides this Machine Learning book. The only grunge against this book is it used Iris database for its "Hello World" and some how i could not wrap around that data, rest seems to be approachable to me (Disclaimer: I have not completed the book).
Am i the only one here concerned about this move?. While PeepCode is renowned for top quality content, this acquisition may deteriorate PeepCode with PluralSight's mediocre level of quality. This feels like stackoverflow being acquired by that hyphen separated site.
