stevephillips··on Show HN: Your Assistant for Twitter and Facebook
Its an assistant - not a fully automated bot.

It helps you find posts, like a newspaper does, but it is up to you to actually select and post it.

I have the same fear as you and we make SURE that the app is not about spamming social media.

stevephillips··on Show HN: What might I create today
nice. I see how this is similar
stevephillips··on Show HN: What might I create today
nope.

If you want to see the code, its all one the client side for now - do have a look :-)

when this grows, it will come from a db and I will have to move it server side

stevephillips··on Show HN: Finish your social sharing for the week in 2 mins
Can you tell me your twitter account and I will look into the bug.

< I couldn't search the same keywords again either as everything I removed was removed permanently> This is intentional but now I have my doubts about its usefulness.

Will definitely work on the bug. thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it

stevephillips··on Show HN: Finish your social sharing for the week in 2 mins
Thanks for the feedback. thrilled to see you liked it. The RSS feed addition feature is definitely in the pipeline. I will keep in touch and let you know when it is up. Meanwhile, do send me more feedback as you use the product
stevephillips··on Show HN: A database for browsing and discovering movies
Good effort.

Finally I can see and sort by RT rating which I trust way more than imdb.

You could also somehow link it to "popcorn time" then it will complete the loop.

Also a separate section for "available on netflix" will make this indispensable.

You could even add a weekly newsletter that shows... 1. new movies on netflix. 2. must watch classics etc base on my taste 4. new episodes of [walking dead] available

and shoot it out on a friday :-)

stevephillips··on Ask HN: What small webapps do you know that have a large audience?
http://www.workflowy.com is very popular and one of my favorite apps
stevephillips··on Draft Policy on Open APIs for Government of India [pdf]
The UK Govt API http://data.gov.uk/ is a good place to start and study.

Here are the 7 design principles that guided them in the design process

1. Start with needs* 2 Do less 3 Design with data 4 Do the hard work to make it simple 5 Iterate. Then iterate again. 6 Build for inclusion 7 Understand context 8 Build digital services, not websites 9 Be consistent, not uniform 10 Make things open: it makes things better

Here is more about that https://www.gov.uk/design-principles#first

stevephillips··on Ask HN: What is the best article about entrepreneurship that you have ever read?
Thanks. What one idea hit you home from it? How would you sum it up?
stevephillips··on Ask HN: What is the best article about entrepreneurship that you have ever read?

stevephillips··on Show HN: airsocial.co – meet the people on your flight
Interesting. There was a Paul graham video some time back where he did office hours with someone who was pitching the exact same idea. I cant seem to find it. Have you seen it? Are you the same person? He didnt seem to buy into it too much in the video
stevephillips··on We Make Mistakes
You should blog about what you learnt at each iteration
stevephillips··on We Make Mistakes
This sounds pretty honest and heart felt.
