stehtisch123··on Boulder Dash
So good, and not so easy at all esp. on mobile. Thanks!
stehtisch123··on Show HN: NESFab – Programming language for making NES games
Awesome! Is it hard/possible to put the finished game on a cartridge or do you play it with an emulator?
stehtisch123··on ChatGPT Is CrapGPT
ChatGPT cant really provide accurate information on anything, least of all legal matters. Anyone relying on it without double-checking its responses is a on thin ice.
stehtisch123··on Ask HN: Is your company considering “exiting the cloud”? If yes, why?
No if anything we are going more into the cloud, but using mostly open source SaaS that can be self-hosted if needed.
stehtisch123··on Why Cloud Security Is a Coasian Hell
I like end to end security more than zero trust as a term.
stehtisch123··on Social media is changing, and paid accounts are the response
Interesting how everyone was calling musk a madman for paid twitter accounts and suddenly its a trend. I think it makes sense too, but sure as hell I am not going to be part of it this time around
stehtisch123··on Fatih's Workspace
Almost incredibly beautiful space. It does feel like out of some glossy gadgrt magazine though. But i guess they seek out the people who have these designed workspaces full of highend gadgets.

i would love to have something like the Herman Miller Aeron Remastered though, my chair sucks...

stehtisch123··on Terrance Tao on AI vs. traditional software
This explains why "AI" definitely needs human oversight and control, especially at thr current stage.
stehtisch123··on [dead]
I wonder why ppl post obvious chatgpt comments here, like why...
stehtisch123··on [dead]
Nice blogpost but I learned nothing avout what NIS actually means for tech businesses. Anyone has a better source?
stehtisch123··on Are software engineers working for Google/Facebook incompetent?
IMO its just hard to be very productive at that scale/in such a large company, so most arent.
stehtisch123··on Unit of Value: A Framework for Scaling (2016)
Ultimately it seems to me the authors unit of value is dollars. more dollars = success. while i agree mostly there is also the value that you provide to actual people, which IMO should not be measured in $ but something harder to quantify. This is the main reason I enjoy working at startups, that the actual (not monetary) value is not the main motivation (for some it is but i feel there would be simpler and more reliable ways to make money)
stehtisch123··on Can We Make Bicycles Sustainable Again?
Theft is a huge factor if you live in a city. I have been riding crap bikes all my life since the good ones get stolen :/
stehtisch123··on NIS2: Europe’s Most Extensive Cybersecurity Directive to Date
This practice of putting up official looking and sounding pages for things like this while just using it for marketing is borderline evil, another example would be this https://zanzibar.academy/
stehtisch123··on Show HN: Tinasaurus – a Docusaurus starter project with TinaCMS
Hey, that is a great addition! Can I use Tina with custom static page generators as well? Also markdown based but much more primitive than docusaurus.
stehtisch123··on Security Is Security's Responsibility
IMO its always best to have one or two people responsible for a single "major thing", be that security, that big client , marketing etc. Doesnt mean they take all decisions or do all the work, but just someone sjnglemindedly focusing that the task gets done well.
stehtisch123··on Show HN: Visualize your Apple Health data in Grafana
There is so many things you can do with a tool like Grafana. What are ithers using it fir besides stuff like this? Would it make sense to use for personal finances?
stehtisch123··on Scientists pour cold water on UK aviation’s net zero ambitions
Net-Zero just sounds good but is divorced from reality.
stehtisch123··on PromptPerfect: An automatic prompt optimizer for ChatGPT, GPT3.5, SD and DALLE
I wonder what the optimization prompt is...
