Yes, jQuery Mobile was used. It was wonderful. Still has some rough edges though.

Yes, the YouTube videos are behaving weird on the iPad. They work on iPhone and Android ok though.

If I understand your suggestion correctly, the app should allow for setting up of a customized curriculum?

I'd be interested to know the number of people using Google Reader as their primary tool to read stuff from the web. I'm sure the numbers would skew heavily towards the tech/geek crowd. But I have no idea how popular it is.

It remains to be seen if Quora would get traction on topics not related to Silicon Valley concerns.

It is one way of saying: find way to get traction first and then have bigger vision later.
