woo.. finally got there!

all achievements.. and i made stacks on bitcoin

yeah, there's always 4chan.. and rumble might get an uptick in users today, where they can view all the content youtube has banned

i think eventually they'll say 'these methods are not working' and enforce digital id

most content can be viewed without an account

not yet

australia recently sued microsoft over this.. saying they had to increase their prices but not mentioning that they could downgrade to a 'classic' subscription. totally misleading under australian consumer law.

A whole lot of accountants/bookkeepers (including I) will totally disagree with you. LibreOffice is very good.. and not just Calc either. Writing a novel in Writer is a pleasure.

More people should use and contribute to LibreOffice!

do you think Valve could do it, with modified Steam Deck and SteamOS?

> how you are going to be able to capture market share

gaming

it'd be cool if they made Steam Phone.. it could be to Steam Deck as iPhone was to iPod Touch.

>> They key difference between plagarism and building on someone's work is whether you say, "this based on code by linsey at github.com/socialnorms" or "here, let me write that for you."

> [i want to] shake thinking that is profoundly stuck [because they] aren’t able to see past the assumptions they don’t know they making

what is profoundly stuck, and what are the assumptions?

won't there still be the older kernels?

the adventofcode subbreddit is pretty cool to visit once you've finished. i learned a new approach (for puzzle 2/2) that i wouldn't have, as my first approach was 'good enough' and i would've left it at that.

i felt like that 2-3 months ago, at the east new zealand chess games, when i forgot my anal beads.

i don't think it should be a charity of their choice. i think it should have to be one of the top 5 most reputable charities in the world, like doctors without borders or salvation army.

i don't think there is a global leaderboard this year. just private ones.

i'd guess co-pilot or bing. so many people use microsoft edge and office, not to mention windows itself.

thank you!

i'm working on a project called 'god of oz' and i've been able to generate a few great pictures from this.. i really like this one on the bottom.. https://i.imgur.com/HbgTEr8.jpeg

> could it be the shooter searching their own name?

makes sense. like, wanting to see what will show up when others eventually search him.

which linux distro do you use? i distro hop and haven't experienced that with firefox for years.

kubuntu is pretty cool. i would recommend trying that.

i was drunk and at a bar.. zig and nim got up to do karaoke together.. elm was there... anyway, they started singing.. 'weeee are the champions, my friends..' it was fun. i got up. 'no time for looooosers, cos we are the champions..' so fun. we had these awesome, delicious cocktails.. they had strawberry in them (with 3 r's) and guido made a toast. he said he couldn't sing but wrote down my name for a song. 'abracadabra'. heh, i want to reach out and grab ya! i nailed it, then did another queen song. eventually we went out back and smoked a joint, but we were so drunk, it knocked us out.

there's @dataclass in 2025

i think of it as a focus (oriented) on instances of something.. class, type, struct..

it's what we had then. i was talking about these days. i think they would have to be a very patient kid, who doesn't know any better.

on the topic, it's synchronistic-like, that settlers 2 was just released for amiga. only amiga 1200 though i think.

i'm very impressed with grok 4. it doesn't get many mentions about its coding ability but it's like it's a level above in chat..

there there

> "I loved my nerdy tinkering indoors so my kids must have their own Linux box by the age of 5" (instead of playing outside)

if you give them an amiga 500 with floppies (or even worse, a c64 with a datasette) i'm sure they'll be playing outside as much as they can.

i would've probably ordered one of those d20 rings if he did it properly lol. maybe i still will when i get over it. it is quite funny. how could he be so silly..
