Was it worth it? Yes, absolutely beautiful, not touristy at all, met a couple in there 70s who had driven through Africa, which included the DRC. Mount Fitz Roy, Chaletan, although beautiful are too touristy. Everyone speaks english, they accept euro/usd, doesn't feel like you're actually in Argentina.
This post sadly doesn't really go into much details that bowery.io is trying to solve, how Go fits that and why Node was so bad.
A basic crud webapp would probably be better suited towards node and it's larger list of libraries supporting that kind of stuff.
On the other hand, building you own messaging queue or doing heavy mathematical processing might be better suited for Go.
IMHO you'll become a far better developer if you devote the majority of your time to learning advanced algorithms, ml, and ai as opposed to the new hot framework.
First off they stress mobility, which many workout regimens don't do. I never really realized how important this was until I started crossfit. Most workouts consist of 15-20 minutes solely concentrating on mobility.
Second, no one has mentioned the concept of scaling, which is core to crossfit. Every workout has a scaling option so that you don't push yourself too hard. If you can't do a pullup you do it with a band, can't do that, do a box jump pullup, etc. Yet another way crossfit keeps one from getting injured.
Further, google is solving big problems. How bout better internet service, cars that drive themselves, making computers more accessible, a universal translater, etc.
How bout the fact that many of the top grads from schools go to work in finance. If we could get all those people to go work at google, the world would be a better place.
