I can't justify this as personal expense, but business users who are stuck with windows are going to like this. When paying with corporate expense as i have seen, buyers want the best money can buy.

At this point, Microsoft is obsessed with AI. They think they missed the chance to be the first with internet and mobile, and trying hard to be the forefront of AI fad until it lasts. Force upselling enterprise is their old strategy and and it seems to be working in their favor. And the stock market like AI buzz too. More times you say AI, is better.

I think it could be because stiff competition between chromeos and android team let to this decision. It's not good for consumers. I wish they merge both products into one and focus on what users want.

My only wish is that they could be offered as extensions, so I could choose what features I like than AI being shoved down on my throat.

When we started Rittr (Plug https://rittr.club), we challenged ourselves with 3 protocols, AT, ActivityPub and nostr. Everytime we went back to whiteboard on why RSS end Email inbox is better (or simpler) than all of above. We still plan to support ActivityPub eventually to be compatible with Mastodon network but sticking with RSS for now. Even RSS has 3 flavors. :)

Zig is probably not so much popular as go or rust. But it seems like a great middle ground. It interops with existing c code. Even has it own compiler for c. Bun project is one of the major projects using it.
