srid··on The Harness Is the Thing
Keep Fable, but have it orchestrate other agents running different models (could be Opus, Grok or Kimi K3).

This is my current workflow: https://x.com/sridca/status/2093354491965735091

I even let Fable choose the appropriate model for the task.

srid··on My thoughts on the Bun Rust rewrite
Glad someone noticed this.

And that is the crux of the whole issue here, as explained in https://sipping-delicious-tea.pages.dev/

srid··on Grok 4.5
> you can get access to these models with unmetered tokens with SuperGrok [$USD 300/year]

Could you support this statement with an official reference?

srid··on Global review confirms mRNA vaccines are safe, effective and full of promise
Probably so they thought it would circumvent insults and other wily rhetoric from those emotionally sensitive on this subject ... and yet, going by your own use of "idiot" on a website enabling otherwise intelligent discussions, it would seem that was futile consideration on OP's part.
srid··on Agents need control flow, not more prompts
I created https://agency.srid.ca/ to achieve some of this but from within a single agent CLI session

Here's a recent PR created end-to-end using `/do` workflow of agency: https://github.com/srid/emanote/pull/719

srid··on Claude Code Routines
I just used this to summarize HN posts in last 24 hours, including AI summaries.

This PR was created by the Claude Code Routine:

srid··on Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (March 2026)
I started working on an "anti-habituation" motivational reminder app:

https://appreciate.srid.ca/

https://github.com/srid/Appreciate

(Note: Only the macOS version is tested extensively at the moment)

srid··on Agent Safehouse – macOS-native sandboxing for local agents
If you are using Nix, there's also https://github.com/srid/sandnix that works on Linux (landrun) and macOS (sandbox-exec).
srid··on Ask HN: Please restrict new accounts from posting
> not too much of my post history accumulates in one account

I'm curious to hear what benefits you think can be gained from avoiding this.

srid··on MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max
Yea, I think it is worth waiting for M6 just for OLED alone.
srid··on Xweather Live – Interactive global vector weather map
Yea, and once you zoom out - being able to intuitively see the temperature all around the planet just creates this sense of appreciation for where we are. On top of it, one can't help but notice that we are floating nowhere in particular in this infinite and eternal universe ...
srid··on AI uBlock Blacklist
Does it even work?

I ask becaue it considers @lilycoy__ (an obvious AI generated account, as quoted by Robin Hanson <https://x.com/robinhanson/status/2025332066552819782>) to be "100% human"

srid··on How I use Claude Code: Separation of planning and execution
Regarding inline notes, I use a specific format in the `/plan` command, by using th `ME:` prefix.

https://github.com/srid/AI/blob/master/commands/plan.md#2-pl...

It works very similar to Antigravity's plan document comment-refine cycle.

srid··on Tesla Sales Down 55% UK, 58% Spain, 59% Germany, 81% Netherlands, 93% Norway
HN has been like that with anything Elon Musk related. You may have better luck with https://www.themotte.org/
srid··on Claude Code: Merging Slash Commands into Skills
Are people nowadays using X articles over blogs posts more now?
srid··on Think of Pavlov
I've often wondered if the inauthentic calculativeness of modern (and particularly Western) culture had its source in Dale Carnegie's book.
srid··on I changed my personality in six weeks
I appreciate your response, it didn't come across as negative at all.

Regarding peak experiences, not all are same: https://srid.ca/peak

I'll checkout MCT. My own style of awareness is https://srid.ca/aware-cum-attentive

srid··on I changed my personality in six weeks
> mindfulness is not even a fraction as effective as most people claim. It always fall apart when you do a proper study with actual measurable effects on life and happiness as outcome.

This is interesting.

Is it also the case for those seeking bliss in the name of "jhana" (cf. Jhourney)?

Sounds like you have a poitical clash with DHH. You are of course free to choose how you spend your money.

srid··on 210 IQ Is Not Enough
> arbitrary external measures of their personal definition of success

You say 'external' meausures, but these do manifest as internal identities - all of which collectively form your social identity: https://srid.ca/identity/social

srid··on The problem with farmed seafood
> the problem with farmed fish is that it simply doesn't taste nearly as good as the wild-caught versions.

I eat wild-caught salmon every day (as part of https://srid.ca/carnivore-diet) and can totally confirm this. Farmed salmon's taste is very off-putting. I noticed this only after switching to wild salmon for a few weeks.

srid··on GHC now runs in the browser
https://emanote.srid.ca is written in Haskell.

Does anyone know why replies are disabled in that other submission?

srid··on A Word on Omarchy
I've found Pop!_OS 24.04 beta, with COSMIC, to be more suitable for my preferences than Omarchy. You get the best of both worlds -- hybrid tiling experience. You can toggle between tiling (like Hyprland) and regular desktop environment (like GNOME).

The remaining two are: Aleksana & lassulus

Aleksana will be "withdrawing for personal reasons." https://discourse.nixos.org/t/a-statement-from-members-of-th...

lassulus will "stay a moderator until at least post [SC] election" https://discourse.nixos.org/t/a-statement-from-members-of-th...

Hi Hexa,

You were also the moderator at the time I was banned <https://srid.ca/nixos-mod> for political reasons. While you are here, would you care to be transparent[^1] as to why you got me and https://nixos.asia banned from Lobste.rs?

[^1]: As Robert, a SC member from OP, notes:

> The SC has tried to work with the moderation team to understand moderation decisions and steer towards more objective moderation behavior, with the goal of making moderation fair and respectable, which feeds back into making moderation work easier. Nonetheless, we have continued to observe moderation not based on the Code of Conduct, but opinions and interpersonal tradeoffs (to put it nicely).
