I mean, logically speaking, it makes sense to break your NDA even if you thought it would save 10 people, let alone most of humanity.
As I'm finding with the best GenAIs, this allows for granular iteration, which is where it becomes useful in an industry-wide manner.
If we are generating artifacts with AI, they should be made out of source code or other form of project file that humans can actually inspect and learn from. I'm doing the same with music: https://johnoestmannmusic.com/0009-when-we-become-discoverer...
I wonder if there's some blend of software and other interest that might rekindle that novelty for you?

I don't think software developers are going away, but likely headed more in-house, as each company can cheaply have bespoke software made and maintained.
I'm a big fan of Jensen Huang's interviews at the moment - these companies should be validating their software is safe before releasing it to the public. And if the current CEOs can't ensure that internal testing is done safely, they should step aside for CEOs that can.
You want AI labs to pace? Simply hold them liable for their products.
Basically, as long as this is the mechanism by which people earn money to stay alive, the world will always be optimized towards results.
Like, it just throws everything in there, because it doesn't have the same friction that humans do.
- Let the player jump over walls
- Let the player teleport the flag to them
- Make the world 3D
Interesting, I shall have to try this on other software!
