I think the U.S. needs to finally adopt the ERA into its constitution. Many people don’t realize that women still don’t have equal protection under the constitution in the U.S. It’s absurd in my opinion.
Literate Programming would also probably help coding assistants understand the code better and generate better output. Or is that the point you are trying to make?
In the "bad old days", tables were abused to build page layouts. There were all sorts of problems with this due to weird rendering rules within table cells and the table itself.
Some people piled onto the "omg tables are so bad" fever without properly acknowledging that they are still the best way to display tabular data - their original purpose.
I'm working on a WebGL-based timeline that covers the entire history of our Universe and let's you zoom in to see more detail. After I finish this 2D version, I plan to create a 3D VR timeline that you can "walk" through, complete with animated dinosaurs, etc. A while back I had started on the VR version using Unity but unfortunately lost all the code when I made a mistake migrating from Google Drive to iCloud :(

I love reading this for the eloquent, antiquated style of the prose. The part where he writes about experimentally detecting four dimensional space by the behavior of matter was interesting - I’ve never read anything like that before.
I’ve worked at many places from ~5-10 employee startups or design studios to mega-corporations with thousands of employees. I’ve only had one boss that I would consider “bad”. And I think that was mostly due to the culture of the company he worked at previously- Amazon. I do think businesses of all sizes are too hierarchical. I would like to try working for a co-op or cooperative or staring my own one day.
The name is first and foremost a way to attach that deeper knowledge of the bird to a symbol so it can be communicated to others. The name is necessary, but usually tells you very little about the thing it refers to.
That's a good question. My job is in web development where some analytical creativity is needed. I also like to draw and paint in my free time. Both activities feel similar in that I can get into that "flow" state in each one, but I don't know how much of the sources of creativity is common to both.
