However, I think there are many DM services out there. The pain for the company is then the cost associated to have someone there 24/7.
When I had a DM system setup for my own company it was a pain in the ass to stop whatever I was doing to answer my clients in real time. I wanted to help them, but it was a distraction.

Stuart has not released yet but are hiring quite agressively[1].
I don't think Amazon entering this space means they are dead but quite the opposity. If FLEX enters the European market will make the concierge delivery space grow. And this can only be good for competition.
In some freediving disciplines weights may be used to go deeper in less time, but then you leave the weight at the bottom, otherwise you would not be able to come back to the surface.
I've been freediving for 20 years now and I've never heard of anyone (nor myself) having trouble reaching the surface because of currents. Strong currents affecting a freediver are lateral, not vertical.
Not trying to say currents are not dangerous for freedivers. I've friends who did end up lost for hours in the surface because of currents. Also, if you want to reach a certain spot in the sea floor and there is current you will consume more O2 and you increase your chances of blackout before reaching surface.
But dying because of being carried away? hmm no..
So, the only true thing is that she did black out and did not come to the surface. The current is the reason why they are not finding her. No one will ever know why she blacked out.
edit: typos
How did you build it?
You are right, we missed those, most likely because we were focussing on MVC Frameworks.
Anyway, a quick search in our startup jobs database shows that in Barcelona there are 8 open positions for Ember.js, 4 for Backbone, 1 for flask, and none for Play Framework.
AngularJS was not added to the list because it's a platform, not a framework.
For instance, Senior Rails or Symfony Backend Engineer market salary is around 45K € [1]. I've seen job offers at the job board I maintain (www.jobsbcn.com) offering up to 70K€ salary for these positions.
Nevertheless, it's not all about the money, flexible working hours and many other perks are also offered at many Startups.
Also, working next to the beach and having a swim at lunch time (I've been working in one of those companies...) or being less than a two hour drive from ski resorts is a plus you cannot disregard, specially if your city of origin does not offer these qualities.
[1] Please, let me clarify that 45K is not as much as you would be paid in Berlin. Also, housing is cheaper there too. But those are different cities with different things to offer.
We have more than 250 job openings for engineers (+250 for biz) in more than 160 startup companies in Barcelona. Salaries are shown for some of them.
It could be interesting to see how different technologies rank against salaries, or regarding job openings. I hope to find the time to show some statistics soon.
Disclaimer: I am the jobsbcn startup jobs list maintainer.

I would add that networking is ok (specially with your customers). But being always networking with the entrepreneurs in your area won't drive you anywhere near success.
Someone once told me this advice that I try to remember myself every once and then:
"Less networking and more working"
Also, although the list of advices nails it at mirroring my own experience, I know that I would not follow most of them. For an unexperienced entrepreneur it's difficult to discern good from bad advice.
Technology stack we have set up at KiteBit is RoR + Unicorn + Redis + Postgres + Vagrant. And we make also make use of Sendgrid + AWS S3 + CloudFront + ElasticTranscoder.
Kilian's movies and other stuff from him are on sale at his website summitsofmylife.com. This is a PrestaShop store but when it comes to the downloads and video streaming it's KiteBit (our service) which takes the relieve.
I always wonder, why is it that someone wants to attack a small company like DNSimple ? Is it that they were blackmailed and did not surrender to the criminals? If so, why would anyone be interested in blackmailing such a small company?
I agree that piloting AR plane is quite difficult. I always end up with a crash [1] and then I spend an hour in repairing it. Keeping it up in the air is doable, landing is just impossible for me ;)
I don't quite understand how stabilisation would allow me a better fight. From what I read in another comment from yours, what you do is "work out the difference between the desired angle (set by the pilot on the ground) and the actual angle (as reported by the IMU algorithm fed by the gyro/accelometer)". Is there anything else involved in the stabilization? I mean, speed is key for maneuvering in air, and moving the flaps is less effective at low speeds, do you take this into account?
Also, why building your own PCB (and having to wait 2 weeks to get it delivered) while there's arduino nano or similars ready to go with in a very small size? I guess you do it just for the hacking fun and learing. BRILLIANT!
When I freedive I can hear scubadivers by their loud sound from far away; even when I cannot see them underwater nor their boats on the surface. Then, I change location because I know I won't be able to catch any fish where they are.
Even the slightest noise can scare fish, not to say marine mammals like whales. Of course I'm talking of those in open waters, not in marine reserves where they are used to humans.
I've been swimming with dolphins in the Mediterranean but they were very shy. Friends of mine have been freediving with common rorquals (2nd largest whale in the world, 75Ton) also in the Med. Their pictures which I'm no sure I'm allowed to share are just breathtaking. We, the human beings are so small compared to whales!
Also, a friend of mine has a rebreather. It's quite an expensive equipment and needs a special training in order to be used. They are quite complex too compared to regular scuba. Besides making no bubbles, rebreathers allow longer dive times. It's the best way to approach marine life without scaring all animals around besides freediving.
His app is being used in schools.
Mike Matas joined Facebook a few days ago (incorrect! see bottom), before that he founded Push Pop Press (digital publishing company). For some time he worked at Apple designing new interfaces (presumably iOS7) for iOS and MAC. He was also de founder of Delicious Monster, the makers of Delicious Library, which interface was later copied (inspired?) iBooks from Apple.
Being Mike one of the +400 friends of Zuck and also working at Facebook, I wonder if they where real-friends before being aqui-hired. Or maybe its Zuck adding him as facebook-friends a way of welcoming Mike to the company.
EDIT:PushPopPress was acquired by Facebook 3 years ago, not a few days ago. http://pushpoppress.com/about/
The worst is that I cannot convince all my address book list to not use whatsapp anymore.
We are all in a trap!
