I want to choose who I connect to the internet through, just like I choose grocery stores, cell phone providers and just about anything else.
JavaScript/jQuery/Backbone, Asp.NET / C#, Entity Framework / SQL
You’ll be an integral part of a small engineering team with many years of experience. We’ll expect you to learn quickly and make critical and significant contributions. Currently, we’re working on some tools for our customer service team and will soon start on developing a more mobile friendly version of our website.
We currently develop in JavaScript/jQuery/Backbone, but you’ll need to also be comfortable with Asp.NET / C# to support our existing website. Strong CSS/HTML skills a must and you should have a keen eye for design and usability. Participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation and provide technical support to our customer service team.
If you’re interested, we’d love to see your work. It could be anything from a side project or your github profile.
But the infrastructure is the real problem. So many switches around the country are so old that hops through the network are very difficult to track and make any innovative technology solution hard to implement fully.
We definitely would love to have a solution to where we could guarantee that no illegal calls are being made (Recent Blog Post: http://blog.call-em-all.com/3-reasons-we-are-excited-about-f...). We have our own internal checks but something which can be implemented on a higher level would be great for us.
The reality is that with the mix of old tech and new tech (read VOIP), tracking who is really making the call is very hard right now (timely and costly). Scammers knowingly break the law and unfortunately, a list of people saying don't call isn't going to stop them from scamming.
Only thing I'm not used to is the left Ctrl key position. Ultimately I'm pleased with the choice, having been a long time dell laptop user and never having a thinkpad, I'd definitely buy again (as long as startup gets a little faster)
The only complaint I have about it is the slow wake time. For whatever reason (even after following some optimization tips), when it wakes from closed cover or timeout it takes forever.

However, my coworker thought that it does happen often, but is curious as to how they then distinguish between what might be legitimate and what they immediately think is a hoax.
Then we both thought, if you do want to make a bomb threat, how do you decide who to call? Deans office? Football Coach? Ombudsman?

Do you have any input regarding this?
I tend to do a lot of setup on render of fields that are hidden and displayed later in the same view, but chosen throws an error on 'searchfield[0]'.
