That page gets it right in the "Definition" section saying the term is basically slang derived from the StG44 and that to be considered an "assault rifle" it must be select-fire. Those are Class III weapons in the US and already very restricted, assuming you have enough disposable income to buy one and find a seller. The example given in the post has nothing to do with Class III weapons, so the term is used improperly, that is my point.
Best Tesla reading I've found is Mark Seifer's book "Wizard, the Life and Times of Nikola Tesla". The audio book is excellent as well. Gives great insight into Tesla's personality and many events in history and the people around him.
It collapsed because it was a bubble being pumped up by the Federal Reserve and its' "easy money" market manipulations. That is the flawed logic of a Keynesian system, that you can plan and manipulate a world economy. You can't, and thus we ride the roller coaster of boom and bust. It's been happening as long as the unaccountable Federal Reserve has been calling the shots.
While LORD was popular, I always enjoyed a game run on an Amiga BBS called "Hack & Slash". Even has a modern Linux port. http://robert.hurst-ri.us/games/rpgd/
That scroll speed needs to slow waaayyyy down. BBSing with a 14.4k modem was rarely that fast. If it was in the 80's, that'd probably make the common speed in the area of 2400 or 9600.
It's not Firefox-specific, but if inspecting and modifying HTTP requests/responses is what you want to do you should try Charles ( http://www.charlesproxy.com/ ).
