Also, doesn't seem to have a freemium tier...need to start paying even before trying it out ?

Those 2 things would just make me close out the tab and onto the next resume tab.
Looking again, I see the gaps are "filled" in other random spots on that resume, like initially, it looked like before 2015-2016, you worked only in 2008-2010 - thats a big 5 year unemployed gap ! Then, I found the missing parts on the left side, in arbitrary order.
Similarly, as a hiring manager (mainly software engineers), I come across some very "unique" resumes which I do look through out of curiosity but the maverick-factor is quite high with these candidates, and they usually are a disruption with their constant "unique" approaches to working with the team.
They would want to rewrite large modules your way and take forever to do it, then never actually contribute any productive code in any area...we made some hiring mistakes like that, and rather than wasting just that one engineer, these mishires ended up wasting other people's time, which is much worse.
Sometimes, it helps to be conformant (another brick in the wall, so to speak) to the standard protocol/format to have maximum compatibility.
I wish he had used a few MAX7219 LED driver ICs - they just need 4 IO pins, can be chained together, and don't need any maintenance CPU cycles unless a change in config is desired.
They also ensure perfect brightness control, and are current controlled LED drivers instead of using 330 Ohm resistors that waste power...all power goes to illuminating the LEDs and none is wasted as heat in resistors.
Maybe I should write him and offer my help in switching for the next spin of the PCBs.
Instead, I acquired two large 140W panels that had been removed from an old installation for the princely sum of $20 (USD).
After struggling with trying to find connectors that I could pair with the MC3 connectors (remember, these panels came off an old installation), I bought a dozen MC4 and just cut off the old MC3 connectors...MC4 is the way to go these days.
Next came the surprise at finding out about "MPPT" - in all my years looking at solar panels on roofs, I never knew they were so finicky about voltage vs current curves...real MPPT charge controllers start at $70 for a Victron 15Amp and I decided to try my luck with Chinese sellers on AliExpress...turns out the charger was a PWM fake sold as a MPPT charge controller.
Anyway, I also needed a battery since the charger doesn't work without a battery source. That's another saga but short story - I built my own 3S battery pack out of 18650s.
