I recently helped my parents buy a Tesla. Shopping the SUVs it was confusing to us comparing the X and the Y. From what we could tell the only major difference between X and Y was the X’s acceleration and top speed which we didn’t care about. Twice the money for X and it just didn’t make any sense at all to even consider buying the X over the Y
The way it’s set up on their website right now, it’s very confusing why anyone would want a model X. It’s double the price of a model Y with very few ostensible improvements other than acceleration and top speed.
It reminds me I guess that language can be deconstructed and reconstructed at will and that words are tools, not necessarily determiners of truth. And that the problem of philosophy is the problem of language. So no, not really
I remember in college I got all stoned in the library and determined that you could find a semantic pathway using synonyms to relate completely opposite terms with only a few nodes. Completely blew my mind and I still think about it sometimes.
