Haha. You can and will hit a bad streak, it's inevitable. There is value in doing the thing.
Pretty soon all that practice adds up. YMMV. But like the article said it's gotta be action.
What is doesn't say is this is a way to build small wins. It only takes a small chain to create momentum.
Big companies need it because their hands are tied to old and inflexible vendor's APIs. However they can with some effort craft a branded and modern UI/UX. Backend works with just about anything old Auth related whilst supporting a newer modern Auth schemes.
I am surprised IBM has not made RHEL ruin it yet.
To say IBM is a slightly better steward of their open source efforts than Oracle never leaves one with much comfort.
"Your IQ lies outside the area that the test is able to measure. We are hoping to extend this area as soon as we have gathered more data."
Distinction springs from the person themselves.
I think ClumsyPilot's way to put it was just fine.
Could someone help me understand the user story/user case for the problem this solves today for a user?
I honestly have a hard time with these p2p/decentrialized/ blockchain/*xyzcoin items. After you have seen one, they all kinda cast the same shadow.
We had it really good when he was in charge. In depth technical dives from a curious position. https://imgur.com/a/MFAypUc
I believe Phronix is still good. https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=home
ArsTechnica has waned and waxed over time. But they have always been solid-enough for me. They have always been up to defend the individual in technology policy and how trends in law enforcement deceptively catches up. They can get squirrelly with the climate view once in a while. BUT even if you disagree with them -- you can bet if you sincerely read their content they stance is well grounded.
As a stable and long term aggregator for open source and similar news and articles I have been very happy with lxer. http://lxer.com/
Indeed. Revolution, rebellion. None of these *have* to be violent per se. The Pax French have handled massive changes in gov without armed conflict in the 20th Century (not counting WWII and Nazis occupation.) It will be very interesting to see how well their democracy will counter this.
I was devastated. I never recovered them all. But it taught me a lesson.
Apple in the cloud brings nothing good to the user if you trust them.
Since then I have never and will never use iCloud for anything important. I can see iCloud has become a vector for no privacy over the years.
OK then I am sure you would be ok with zoning being changed to allow for a nuclear power plant in your neighborhood whenever someone(s) with big piles of cash comes through. Yeah, no thanks mate.
Where I live the last heads of our county council, where openly corrupt with sweetheart deals handed out to local construction and developer companies. The one before last ended up in jail thanks to the feds investigating these type crimes. This is in the US no less. No way buddy. The public has a right to decide who can built what where and for what purpose.
Yes there should be defining discrimination which rightly limits a free for all when it comes to zoning.
How naïve are you?
In other words we already learned that lesson and people generally do not like unappealing entities being right next door. It allows the public an extra check on something not appropriate.
Why does California not have a wider range of political ideas to solve their problems?
It appears Cali is chasing its tail by their brand and experiment in democracy when they try to "solve" their glaring issues.
Credit where due -- many times other states have benefited from California being so big and mandated certain safety laws. But like the famous saying many citizens of the Golden State will soon be able to answer the question for Newsom (uberkind-liberal-idiot-when-it-suits): What have you done for me lately?
Simply not true. Scores and scores of IT people came up on Microsoft. For many it was the door to a technology career.
As one's career evolves it becomes easier to pick what you want to work on.
Take the leap into something you WANT. Skills, Sschmills! You can learn can't you? Life means learning new stuff all the time. Learning never takes a time out.
The military was a bastion of learned lessons for me. One key takeaway: You are your own best advocate. Everything in an interview or negotiation related to you springs from that viewpoint. That's one of the most basic you will repeat infinitely. Use it boldly, not arrogantly.
The fastest way to avoid companies like that is to set boundaries on what you will do and will not do. Good recruiters LISTEN and respect this. I do not want my time wasted and likewise for the recruiters and companies I am talking too.
It’s one thing to be supportive and empathetic. It’s another thing to bow down to worship your child and let them run the show.
The trans issue has risen to a point where society must face it and figure out the bigger questions of how can we accommodate them and yet balance and find natural limits. We are so fucking far away from that point. And we will get there eventually.
I agree with the parent comment saying the trans issue is way over sampled and is or has become some kinda trend. It just is. Clearly their child showcases the main point of children know nothing when the child mis-understands what true transphobia is versus a childlike ignorance of parroting a concept they just heard about. Why is that? Well it never changes from generation to generation. If you have kids at some point they learn about attention and how to use it.
It’s kinda like personal preferences. Is it transphobic to say you are only attracted to the opposite sex and would never date or consider a trans person in a romantic relationship? Nope. But it’s a sure fired way to keep eyeballs on the screen and people in their rigid political groups.
Like this parent (although I will be more brutal) I could give two shits if they felt they were a trex or were a girl or a boy. I don’t care. What matters is that I raise a kind hearted, compassionate human being who understands the world is not your friend. And can find their grit and true will when they need it. There’s book loads more to this but boiled down I’m doing my best to not raise an inconsiderate asshole. Because they must be held to account and told when they are in fact acting like an inconsiderate asshole.
