Personally I do this: local machine with all repos, containers with a single repo without the origin. When I need to deploy I rsync new files from the container to my local and push.
For residential IPs you can't even pay per month like normal VPNs, normally they charge per GB, usually over $2 usd per GB.
That leaves 2 options:
- they didn't read the code themselves to ensure it's valid
- they did read the code themselves but left the useless comments
No matter which happened it shows they're a bad developer and I don't want to run their code.

My new setup: gen5 ssd in desktop:

Both are running pretty much non-stop, very slowly.Example:
> time du -sh .

And on my laptop that has a gen3, lower spec NVMe: > time du -sh .
304G .

It's almost 10 times faster. The CPU must have something to do with it too but they're both Ryzen 9.Around 4 millions of web pages as markdown is like 1-2GB
