Don't regulate! Come up with something better.
Detrimental to long term success -- how do you know? I am inclined to believe the opposite.
(eos.io)
In development now, but a development environment will be up and running by the end of the summer; testnet coming in the fall. Full release next summer.
I would encourage a "follow the money" train of thought when thinking about this.
My question then becomes: if this money (the $2.7bn) did not accrue to the EU, or was not levied at all, do you still think the EU would still pursue this as ferociously as it has, just to protect the consumer?
"Hillary makes mistakes"
was probably meant to read
"Hillary jeopardizes the security of an entire nation by leaking top secret information to our enemies and then denying everything under oath before getting caught by the FBI".
Let me know if that made it clearer, just here to help. Thanks!
Further, I don't think it's fair to underestimate the experience and historic perspective old people have, that young people don't. After all, many of the older people who voted yesterday where around before the EU came about, and are able to factor in that extra information, plus their historic perspective in their decision, which, by definition, makes for a more informed decision.
You are right that older people tend to be more conservative, but you yourself may end up being more conservative when you are 90, vs. how conservative you are today, and you may only realize the reasons for it once it happens, and perhaps you will think those are actually quite good reasons, who knows.
The bottom line is that if you just attribute the older population's decision to "bad taste" and "shortsightedness", you may not realize the true reason behind their decision, which diminishes your ability to understand and influence others.
I do agree with you that democratic decisions are not always optimal.
It's very possible, and perhaps even likely, that they will look to implement a similar solution as the US has -- visas for skilled workers, to the extent they have a need for foreign labor, and there might even be direct relationships with high-tech hubs like Scandinavia.
But yes, there will be added bureaucracy, and some people will choose not to go because of it.
Do you actually lament the fact that democracies respect the choice of their peoples?
Last time I checked, Apple was not in the business of making data center equipment, so it's not like they would give up IP that is central to their business model.
I am currently working on a project analyzing massive amounts of options data and have found this approach to be both quite easy as well as flexible to work with... and as my project matures I may move select parts of it into a database.
