I thought I remembered Freakonomics doing a fairly in-depth discussion on this, but I can't find it. Maybe I mis-remember.

I thought a rollerball pen was a kind of skating ring with banked sides, and bleachers all around! "Whoa, is that a thing now? Cool!" I never knew ball point was different from roller ball.

Teambuilding, when it works, is usually something that just happens, and isn't scripted. Watercooler interactions, discussions after work, even maybe a company barbeque. Actual company sponsored teambuilding events, in my experience, have been total shams, never taken seriously by the participants. This Archer episode kind of sums it up.
