Totally unrelated but I have to know this! Somebody posted an article many months back that talked about DIY audio system that gives run for money to Bose, Beats and likes. It was open source design by an anon electrical engineer. Anyone knows what was it?
Moto is doing a fine job with this. Guaranteed next update and pure Android experience. All this even on cheaper phones. I am also a part of their 'Soak Test' program. Got to say, they are doing a really good job!
Here in a major IT city of India(Hyderabad), I pay around $40 for 50 Mbps/10Mbps(up/down) and it's unlimited. I guess it'a pretty good deal. We have good number of companies offering services. I say it's a good deal, but of course not as good as this.
Totally agreed. I don't why it isn't getting fraction of publicity that other less useful and I dare say stupid apps are getting. HERE simply rocks! I will never switch back to crappy web version of GMaps. HERE beats it in both web and Android version. Love it!
Man! Move on. Start using Here maps. I don't know why people are stuck with GMpas when far more superior alternative is available. They have a new android app as well!
Started switching to alternatives after Gmail redesign fiasco. Last nail in the coffin was Google maps 'redesign'. I loved both these products but have now moved on. Luckily for us Here maps is alive and kicking and it's so much better than GMaps! Why are people still stuck with Google Maps, I don't know. Here has everything and more. Real offline navigation! And they have an Android app too!
CoffeeScript novice here. Can someone please tell me why/why not coffee script should be used rather than JS? Is it usable in serious prod level projects? Looks very clean.
And your post is certainly an inspiration to me :) Thanks for documenting your journey. I'll make sure, one year down the line, I document something like this and hopefully will get some success on kaggle.
IMHO, the best way to find like minded co-founders is to actively attend meetups, hackathons, conferences and related events. You will be surprised how often you will find passionate people who are very much willing to work and join forces with people like you.
He probably also doesn't know that he isn't getting any 'notifications' for reply on his comments and most probably he's not going to see this either :D
Isn't webapp2 preferred for python webapp dev in GAE? I'm also starting to build a python based webapp in GAE and confused whether I should start with Flask?Django or Webapp2 itself.
This is neat. I use a similar tool on VS 2013 [0]. MS launched it very recently. It's called Bing code search. Pretty nifty, Although it's lot advanced but I hope tools like this grow to be better and comparable to this one. Anyone using vs 2013, do check this out.
By far, this is the dumbest article I came across. Couldn't read it after first few lines. But god! This was huge article on an app that sends two words! :D Hah! Although comments on the article tickled me a bit.
>Why can't the elderly walk to the bus? Have their legs fell off?
Please tone down a bit? They sure may have problem in walking maybe a mile or so to reach their destination. Buses aren't dropping them right in front of home.
Every other great startup that's building something cool, something innovative is being acquired by Google, Facebook, Amazon and so on. Aren't we going to see the next Google or Facebook, because they are all being acquired by, well, Google or Facebook :|
A bit off-topic but the page looks really heavy and responds slowly on a rather powerful machine that I have. Any idea if we can get a csv or raw data of this?
I totally love JetBrains products. Haven't used many but my favorite is resharper. Totally took the pain out of coding. Formatting, following naming conventions and so much now looks so simple. Totally recommend them to anyone considering buying it. Worth every penny.
Awesome! Love such ideas. There is one internship here in Goa, India(a well known beach town) where a tech startup(forgot the name) teaches you everything from fornt end design to back end and if you're lucky, you land a job there as well.
Good that someone is exposing the atrocities on labors working in such factories, but why not then fight iPhones and all those phones manufactured in China, as well? Labors work in really really pathetic working conditions to make those shiny gadgets.
Is it just me or the intro video wasn't really clear how it works. Am I going to just move my hands on nothing and expect this thing to write? Can someone clarify how this works?
