didn't know about these... I need to go read up on them now...
shadowAuror··on The universal programming language of LLMs
I suspect it will not be a language in the traditional sense. Instead of describing how to build a system, it would describe the system's entities, relationships, goals, constraints, NFRs etc... The application model becomes the source of truth, and the code will be the generated artifact. A single spec defined and code generated will be optimized for web, mobile, desktop, api, etc...

The spec itself can be in a yaml type format or a hierarchical knowledge graph...

shadowAuror··on Is there a non-corporate alternative to GitHub?
why is gitlab non-corporate?
shadowAuror··on Ask HN: Have you ever switched personal email providers?
Interesting point of view - for me security and privacy was the primary reason I moved from Google Account. I moved to Microsoft 365 Family. I can connect using Yubikeys - one that lives in my keychain and the second stored security at home as a backup.
shadowAuror··on Ask HN: Have you ever switched personal email providers?
I moved from my Gmail to Microsoft 365 Family. The move took around 2 years to slowly migrate all my accounts to the new one.

I have also connected it to my custom domain so that if I need to do this all over again to a new provider, it will be much faster - since I can point the domain to the new provider.

I am very happy with Microsoft 365 Family, since it gives me Office Apps, 1 TB storage, custom emails for upto 6 people in the family.

shadowAuror··on Ask HN: What is your system for backing up family photos and video?
My current approach is to store all photos and videos from mine and wife's phone to Microsoft OnDrive and Apple iCloud. The photos are then synced from OneDrive to my desktop PC as well.

Everything automatic, grouped into folders in yyyy-mm format

shadowAuror··on Ask HN: Why is building Windows apps so complicated?
To be fair, I can create the exact rant on programming in Linux...
shadowAuror··on Half a day of work lost thanks to Microsoft Word
Since only the first page got saved, it may be that the save was not working for some reason. Were you saving it to a network drive (or) an external drive? Curiuos issue since I have not seen it happening - i mean the corrupted word doc with some pages... When it happend, the whole document was lost. Word refuses to open it at all.
