You build your software the way you want and like. If others don’t like that it breaks POSIX they should stop using it instead of complaining. Or fork it.
I wonder how you will feel the day FB decided to ban you for whatever rule their algorithm would decide you violated.
There is a price to pay for sticking to your principles.
Shadow profiles for example.
How can one claim this?
Why would we be in trouble. Explain it to me like I know nothing about economics?
If I was in their shoes I would be pissed of with my employer for making "beg" the customers for getting my salary.
Imagine if as a software engineer I was told I would be paid half of what I am getting paid now, and for the other half I would have to go and ask for a "tip" from the end users. I would be absolutely furious.
Sorry for going a bit off-topic, but is it non-abusive or is it our little bubble?
Just anecdata, but as an engineer I think engineering is easy and design is hard.
For engineering you just have to follow logic, reasoning, good practices and have discipline. Also you can test your code to death to make sure everything is correct.
For design you have to have an artistic nature.
I wonder if after the monthly seller fee, the returns and any unsold merchandise, if they will make any profit at all.
You totally jump the gun there!
