No it’s not. The best case it gives you energy (it’s in the name!) to do whatever you want and it does no harm.
Assuming it actually does no harm, why wouldn’t you want more energy any time you want it, any time you drink some delicious fizzy neon green liquid?
I’m saying this as someone who doesn’t drink energy drink (because I assume and feel that it actually causes harm, not because I couldn’t use some extra boost in energy sometimes).
The 10x speed up comes from the fact that we have all given up on properly reviewing each others code and we just say “meh, it will be fine, lgtm”
In 2025, sometimes I decided to put a slop LinkedIn post to ChatGPT (back then) to deslopify.
Now, the slop circle is everywhere.
Your PO uses automations to create tasks? Half of the comments are bot slop? Links to documents never edited or read by another human? A lazy three sentence description of a task requirement you would have gotten previously sounds like a dream. Now everything generates pages long texts and you can't possibly go through the slop without AI agents. You need your agents comb through the slop and demystify the task for you.
Same with the other end... Slop PRs will be reviewed by your agents, hoping you catch 2-3 issues so that you can pretend you did a review. The author didn't do a review on their generated slop, but sure, let's pretend reviewers still review code.
Look, if I was worried about nuclear bombs, I wouldn’t work on a nuclear bomb developing research center.
It’s all fake and pompous garbage.
It’s just an irrational fear I have, in the end agents are not the HN comment section and they usually understand what I actually mean.
They need their models to be good enough and cheap enough. Then the rest will follow. Companies will figure out how to host them for you efficiently, and you pay them monthly.
I don’t think I will ever want to set up a home server, no matter how inexpensive the hardware gets. At work I still use Cursor (with Anthropic models usually) because it’s paid by my employer, but for private stuff, I’m already using cheap models with OpenCode, and it’s extremely cheap and surprisingly capable.
I think there was around half a year between where the best models became good enough (last year December?) and where the cheap models became good enough (couple of months ago?).
That’s a big if. We all know that’s not what’s happening.
To me it sounds like 1. Either your tool is just not that good and reliable as you thought, 2. AI is trained on human written articles, so some of that human written content informed the now established “AI slop”.
There are people who shipped “slop” before AI.
So don’t worry, there is already probably a nationwide video surveillance system out there, even without Kevin
So I think they are aware of the “false friends” words.
With that said, I don’t think it’s an actual library, more like, as you said, an art installation, an exhibition, a space for highlighting books.
How I would imagine this work if there was will (I don’t think there is)… there are online grocery delivery services that do this already, it’s not that complicated.
You get your stuff delivered in a reusable bag. They charge you 1 dollar for the bag. Next time you have something delivered, you give the bags back and you’ll get your money back.
With that said, I can also see that infinite entertainment and infinite information makes you deprioritize having children.
But it’s far from proof, this study. It’s more like “I found some numbers that support my already existing opinion, so let’s run with that”.
Dense city? Hard to build.
Got it.
Jokes aside, I guess population density is just not the main factor in internet. It’s competition, it’s regulation, it’s corruption, and pop density is simply not a deciding factor.
I can’t imagine this being worth optimizing. The issue is never that Claude can’t figure out what the projects is about…
Am I missing something or does this project not solve a problem most regular people have?
With mold, I guess the people living there have some influence, they might never open the window, they might shower 50 minutes, etc... but there are some places where no matter how careful you are, mold will show up. And even if a perfect tenant with the perfect process for preventing mold might be able to keep it away, you can't be expected to meet those standards. Some buildings are just more prone to mold than others.
Same with cockroaches... Sure maybe OP never cleans up in the kitchen and leaves chinese take out in the sink for a month. It can also be that their neighbor is extremely messy, or one window is next to the trash, or that the pipes have something nasty in them that never got cleaned out, so no matter how clean your room is, the roaches still get in somehow.
