According to the video[1] the most translated words in the world are
"Thank you", "How are you" and "I love you"
anyone ?
>> Having access to information benefits individuals and society as a whole. I'd rather focus on how to utilize this access to internet and create things which are valuable for others to consume locally or globally.
How does a poor person in a rural area REALLY improve their life by just having a cheap android phone and access to the internet?
>> Internet connects people. Almost everything that you do in person can be done via internet. Rather than only being a clueless consumer of the internet, people can learn skills that matter to them. This age is of Knowledge and skills that can create things, solve problems. Sell things on internet. Write book and tell the world. Develop softwares for yourself and others. Earn a living. Help people.

-> Twitter feels too much like a one-way broadcast system. It needs to feel more like a community, with meaningful two-way interaction.
I totally disagree. If you follow a avalanche of people and brands your timeline gets useless within an hour. Twitter is place to build a community that you want to be in and participate if you want to get max out of it. If one expects it to be a community he/she shall participate. Why would I expect Paul Graham to be replying me on Twitter for nothing (just because I follow him and mentioned him some non of his business comment) ?

There is no point discussing about it should be this or that. Feel free to use it the way you want it to be.

Still, i'd suggest to familiarize yourself with the underlying process of how startups/products are built. For eg. here's the Lean process: http://theleanstartup.com/principles
Find out where you can contribute and collaborate on the process or better if you have managerial skills go execute the process.
For a tech product there is more to writing code. It's like if you have a blueprint of house engineers will build the house for you.
Learn to draft, pitch and execute that blueprint for your tech interest.
