We at neocom are building shop agents for online retailers. Customers can chat naturally, get clear guidance, and find the right product faster, just like talking to a great, opinionated salesperson in a physical store or like chatting with an LLM, that actually knows about the products in the shop and has an opinion about them. We are based in Munich with a strong onsite culture (not full time).

We've been in the guided selling space for the past 6 years and launched our new product, the Shop Agent, last year in November. Our customers who are already on this new product are loving it and demand more and more features.

Very poor communication on the major issue by Salesforce. Keep in mind, it affects Salesforce' entire cloud infra.

My best guess: The authentication issue affects them more than it does us.

I wish I could say I love fly.io, but it really is not ready yet for production. A few months back we migrated a non essential production app to fly.io and we've had 3 major downtimes since where we didn't knew at all what was going on.

One thing from heroku in 2021 should have been learned here: Communicate before your clients learn about the issue. Communicate open.

To sum up my experience with chatbots: I've had deeper conversations with clippy than with most chatbots.

Yes, lots of controversy about this study. All in all, it’s not too representative after all because of the outbreak in the festival. There’s currently a similar study going on in Munich, which represents a normal bigger city in Germany, which is expected to give more insights.
