screwgoth··on Shell script best practices, from a decade of scripting things
Some good ones in here. Especially the ones to "set" stuff.
screwgoth··on Robot Framework: generic open source automation framework
Robot has it's peak maybe a couple of years ago. Although my company still uses it extensively there are other Automation frameworks that are proving to be better, like , say Cucumber, Cypress, etc.

But why is Robot Framework being mentioned and getting attention now? It's not like it's something new and doing anything different from the existing frameworks.

screwgoth··on My dad's resume and skills from 1980

screwgoth··on City Generator
Thank You. There's 30 mins. in the Watabou's "generator" blackhole
screwgoth··on Posix Threads Programming
Wow !! This is the same page from where I started learning about Pthreads way back in 2004. 16 freaking years ago. I loved it then, love it now.
screwgoth··on Ask HN: Which non-technology book has influenced you the most and why?
"Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. I read it a couple of years after I hit my teens and was going to go to Junior College. It validated all my beliefs about meritocracy, atheism and recognition of self. To this day, I read it ( or parts of it, anyway) just to maintain my sanity
