A way for for U.S. car owners to stay informed about the issues your car may experience that are communicated by car makers to dealerships.

I found those communications useful for my own car and wanted a better website that what the NHTSA provides and have been having a lot of fun building out the site.

Ok, I had a chance to look into it. A previous version of the website only checked for recalls for vehicles that had an email alert setup. I'm currently working on importing the backlog of all recalls. Thank you again!

The web app allows car owners in the U.S. to see a list of all the service bulletins the manufacturer has sent out about your car over the years (called Technical Service Bulletins or TSBs). You can subscribe for new bulletins to be sent to your email as well.

These service bulletins are not only recalls but also fixes for known issues with the car.

I found reading these bulletins super helpful for my own car. There were some symptoms I would have never noticed without reading through these bulletins. For example: the tailgate did not lift up all the way in cold weather. Turns out this was fixed and covered under the extended warranty.

The infrastructure is all built on top of Cloudflare workers. I use Gemini Flash Lite to summarize and filter the bulletins.

I'm not aware of those solutions. Very cool! Are they specific to one distro (for example, Fedora)? How do I get gdb to show me the command to installing missing packages?

One downside to those solutions, they only support debugging on the same machine running the executable. If I want to debug a crash dump from a machine different from my own I might not be able to install the packages.

This was originally built by RedHat and they are adding support for Fedora's package manager, which should make debugging in future versions of Fedora an amazing experience. The ability to debug any application on your machine with no effort.

Debuginfod does support debian packages as well (integrating with -dbg pacages), but it does not support src packages. The documentation mentions that this is tricky.

Could one defense be to design the chip to not have any empty space? In other words, fill in any empty area with test circuitry such that you couldn't tell which areas were actually used and which weren't.
