I.e. purposefully don't have any monitoring, purposefully don't go to the site often etc. then only respond of someone tells you there's a problem.
I've dealt with a few contracts in the past that have stipulated that we must respond within xx hours of becoming aware of an issue, if I didn't want to run the service it would be in my interests to do everything in my power not to avoid becoming aware of any issues.
Toddler/Child/Idiot friend is a significantly more likely to shoot you/someone you care about.
Any time i'm road tripping more than 3 hours i'm trying to find some cute little town along the way to stop in at. Usually these cute little towns have chargers.
How often do you do this? Once, maybe twice a year? With my current commute i have to go out of my way to get gas every week. It takes at least 15 minutes extra on my way home (but thats only because the gas station on the route is about $1 a gallon more). i'd be prepared to add an hour twice a year in return for getting 15 minutes back 48 times a year. And the annoyance of having to make an unexpected trip when i was planning to get gas the next day (whereas i could keep an EV charged abouve 50% at all times).
Just having more money doesn't fix the environment you grew up in, your lack of education, your exposure to criminals etc.
Especially when conviction rates are as low as they are, "getting caught is something that happens it other people, it could never happen to me, I'm too smart"
I've read studies that suggest that high detection/conviction rates and relatively mild punishments is the ideal.
This mainly came out of a series of lawsuits and happened industry wide (the fear of millions of dollars of compensation was enough to get all the players to get very serious)
This is why we need very strong whistleblower protections.
We've no idea if the damage was visible prior to takeoff. It may have easily passed a visual inspection on the ground before moving at speed with a pressure differential. As per the article at least one of them appears to have detached in flight and struck the horizontal stabilizer.
Fake it to you make it is actually a real thing. Though you actually have to be able to make it. You can overstate qualifications and experience but not competence. I don't lie about anything but i've definitely known people who have lied in order to get hired who have gone on to perform extremely well.
if a law comes along that suddenly gives me the power to build 200 but the asking price drops to 400k i'd rather build 200 homes and net $4m
I do wonder what would happen if I used a tile that was not used in the UK.
