satuke··on Show HN: Semantic search engine for finding relevant VCs and angels
I see but I don't think many people will be comfortable giving that permission, I personally am not. You might want to think about another way to achieve what you want to.
satuke··on Show HN: Semantic search engine for finding relevant VCs and angels
Why do you need all those permissions for signing up?
satuke··on Show HN: Hnch.at – Let's Connect
No, I meant that with captcha the people who come in will have a sense of trust because they know that everyone has to do that test.
satuke··on Show HN: Hnch.at – Let's Connect
well, that's a challenge. maybe add a captcha to help with this?
satuke··on Show HN: Hnch.at – Let's Connect
pretty cool what you've made
satuke··on Show HN: Flywheel

satuke··on Show HN: NPM package which makes your react app visually editable like Figma
they're synced in realtime with your code. we have a proxy server running on your machine which talks to your website's editor and the codebase to sync the changes as you make them.
satuke··on Show HN: NPM package which makes your react app visually editable like Figma
Thanks for pointing that out, I'll fix that! Here's a screenshot which might help you https://imgur.com/HlmOoK4

also added it on the website.

this is a very early version of a visual-editor that I'm building which lets you edit like you would in devtools/figma and sync those changes to your code. everything runs on the user's machine so there's no need to login. the aim here is to help you build visually when you want to without locking you into a platform.
satuke··on I disagree with Geoff Hinton regarding "glorified autocomplete"
Actually, that's a by-product of RLHF. A base model is usually not that verbose.
satuke··on I disagree with Geoff Hinton regarding "glorified autocomplete"
Isn't that exactly how humans learn to respond to stimuli? Don't we just try to predict the best next response to everything? Yes, It's statistics but the fun part is nobody is writing this statistical function by hand.
satuke··on Show HN: HighContext.ai – Serverless JSON Blob Storage
how is it different than s3?
satuke··on Kart: DVC for geospatial and tabular data. Git for GIS
Have you tried out https://underhive.in/ for this?
satuke··on Git Version Controlled Datasets in S3
I was using DVC (https://dvc.org/) for some time to help solve this but it was getting hard to manage the storage connections and I would run into cache issues a lot, but this solves it using git-lfs itself.
satuke··on Elo for VC – Founder's Choice
But how does including a main location infront of a VC disenfranchises half the planet?
satuke··on Elo for VC – Founder's Choice
How? It should be just as useless as the list itself. Lots of EU funds aren't on the list now but they might be in future. Your argument is like saying Yahoo and Google should be useless as there weren't many sites to search through in 1990s.
satuke··on Elo for VC – Founder's Choice
Yeah I mean, for now it'll just be for the 200+ that are there and later it could grow in future.
satuke··on Elo for VC – Founder's Choice
In their about section is an email mentioned maybe you could reach out there to get this request in.
satuke··on Ask HN: How do tech companies gives permissions of repos to the new employee
I mean it's certain that there's a lot of steps that happens in the onboarding process of a new employee. But do you think that there's a need for this problem to even be solved? Like I doubt people really care, this is a problem people VERY rarely come across. I don't think making a product would be worth the effort to solve this.
satuke··on Show HN: AfterShoot finds and selects your best images using Content Aware AI
It's an Interesting take on finding relatively good images from tons of duplicates that photographers usually shoot. This must have specific use cases for the photography industry, good work!
