sandebert··on Plasma Bigscreen
I only realized it after reading this thread. Seems like a very confusing name chosen.
sandebert··on I spent a year designing a low profile, minimal mechanical keyboard
I see some questions about Linux support here, and apparently it works just fine with that OS. But why does the site say this then?

  OS support
Apple MacOS 12 (Monteray) and up
  Microsoft Windows 10 and up
sandebert··on High Court of Australia rules hyperlinking is not publishing [pdf]
Common sense isn't.
sandebert··on Swedish tech startups and scaleups
Not disappointed, just grateful you replied - thanks!
sandebert··on Swedish tech startups and scaleups
Thanks, but to be fair I also have a couple of his albums. :-) (https://www.allmusic.com/artist/solar-fields-mn0000645543)
sandebert··on Swedish tech startups and scaleups
Might you perhaps be the Swedish musician Solar Fields, who also made the music for the game Mirror's Edge?
sandebert··on How to Use Twig in Laravel
You probably meant to post this url: https://dberri.com/how-to-use-twig-in-laravel

Surely this must be a candidate for the Ig Nobel Prize?

sandebert··on Ask HN: My annual plea for dark mode
And there are a number of mobile apps that provide dark mode. Here's a popular one:

sandebert··on λ-2D: An exploration of drawing as programming language
The animated run would probably be very interesting with a program emulating the Enigma machine.
sandebert··on Adobe XD, where did it go wrong?
After reading all the links from that HN post, I've come to the conclusion that it's not possible to use download and install CS2/CS3 anymore. Thanks to all that helped, much appreciated.
sandebert··on Adobe XD, where did it go wrong?
Yes, that is it, thank you so much!

However, reading it now I'm not entirely sure if it's still possible to install this...

sandebert··on Adobe XD, where did it go wrong?
Amazing, so it's not my brain playing games with me. Any chance you would be able to find the link, I don't seem to have the skills.
sandebert··on Adobe XD, where did it go wrong?
Some months back somebody, in a HN thread, posted a link to an Adobe forum post where Adobe linked to an older version of Photoshop that was free and legal to download. It didn't require their cloud solution, and they also provided a serial number for it.

I've tried several times to find that link again, but always failed. Does this ring a bell with somebody?

The astronomers used the word "spooky", so I propose the headline below, for maximum correctness and confusion:

Spooky action at a distance

sandebert··on How to Drink Vodka Like a Russian
In 1997 I met a Russian student studying in Sweden. Over a break he went back to Russia, and when he returned to Sweden he had brought a typical (he claimed it was) Russian vodka bottle.

It was a one-litre bottle, and it had a pull-off bottle cap. When I asked about it, he explained that it didn't need anything else because the bottles never needed to be sealed after being opened.

sandebert··on Writing a Game Boy Emulator in OCaml
Looks nice, well done.

I'd also like to add that it seems like a missed opportunity here. It could have been named OBoy.

sandebert··on Former US President Teddy Roosevelt’s Drunken Rampage in Nairobi
Slightly off topic, sorry. I just have to ask if the hilarious LBJ call is authentic or fake?
sandebert··on Yabai is a tiling window manager for macOS
When an app has a name starting in YA, it's fairly common that it stands for Yet Another. No idea if that's true here, or what the rest of their name stands for though.
sandebert··on Show HN: Track 20 keywords/day in Google serps for free
Hi Sam,

I just sent you an email using the contact form on your site, but I realized I should probably also write here. Your Twitter url isn't working, and you might also want to add your email address to your profile so people without Twitter have a way of contacting you.

That said, nice site, I'll check it out. :)

sandebert··on Norm Macdonald has died
Sad news indeed. In case somebody missed it, and is in the mood for some Norm, why not check out S09E02 of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, where he's interviewed by Jerry Seinfeld.
sandebert··on We don’t use Kubernetes

sandebert··on Dear Mom and Dad, please stick with me (2020)
I've seen some questions on why this is on HN so I thought I'd explain why I posted it.

Quite simple really: my wife sent me this link because she liked it. I read it and liked it. We have two kids, the oldest being eight, and we're often discussing topics related to the content on the page.

I've seen that there's quite a bit of interest on HN when it comes to parenting so I thought I'd post it. (I do realize it's for some product/service, but I have no clue what that is. No affiliation, I just liked the text.)

That's it.

sandebert··on Coober Pedy, the Australian mining town where residents live underground (2020)
People living in places like this must have great protection for some disasters, such as if the moon blew up suddenly and without warning.
