I built a site to teach people to code by building projects: https://enlight.ml
Also, I have been reading a lot of https://hackernoon.com lately.
After some of that, you can move on to JS where they'll actually understand programming logic. I built a site to teach people to code the web. Maybe it'll help you a bit: https://enlight.ml
To teach people to code in this way, I started https://enlight.ml that hosts a bunch of "random" projects. As I type this, I'm also working on my next project (https://shamdasani.org/playground) which is my version of codepen/jsfiddle.
I am by no means a professional programmer, but I am gradually learning through building. Hopefully, you'll learn to do the same.
an ad on each page. I expect it to generate about $50-100/month
I plan to add more projects to teach people to code in this type of way. I think the best way to learn is to actually build small apps and then altering them to make them better.
If you take a look at the html files, along with the CSS - you may get an idea. I plan to make a tutorial on making a personal website from scratch like how I did (no frameworks, etc.) and then making a tutorial on technologies like Jekyll, etc.
