sally888··on Tesla stock tumbles after Model S catches fire
Yes, but it seems that that may have the same issues themselves. Li-ion batteries are notorious for catching on fire. Yes, the sample size is too small to make a determination on Tesla but I suspect they may run into the same issues as Boeing as they sell more cars.

What a blatant ad hominem and straw man attack. Do you like to misrepresent someone's positions because they have differing opinions from yours?
sally888··on Tesla stock tumbles after Model S catches fire
Well, the Chevy Volts' lithium ion batteries also have fire issues too. Not to mention overheated laptops with li-ion batteries that have caught on fire.

Yes, please accuse anyone who disagrees with you as being a paid shill. Saying that the IPCC has lowered estimates, which it has admitted in its report, is now climate change skepticism? Really?

"But lithium-ion batteries have raised concerns in other vehicles. Two years ago, battery fires broke out in three Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid cars after crash-testing."

IMHO, there is a major problem with Tesla's batteries. Boeing has had issues with its lithium-ion batteries catching on fire. I wouldn't be surprised if more Teslas have the same issues in the future.

Mentioning gender is the biggest sin? Wow.

Actually, yes. Even the IPCC has been lowering predictions.

So your argument is an appeal to authority? What specific data sets are you citing?

> Just because you're too dim to understand the science here doesn't give you an excuse to mock it.

What's with the insults?

Well, you claimed oil companies and the like have a financial interests in disproving global warming. Why is it not fair game to say the likes of Al Gore and others who push green energy might have the same financial motivations? Because they agree with your views? Where do you draw the line?

Love you guys already. Thank you!

Great job on this. Are there any plans for Ruby or javascript tutorials, or am I being too optimistic?

Looks great. Will this work with web apps too, or only mobile apps?

"a competitive advantage against incumbents"

Where did the DOE say this?

sally888··on Tesla California sales beat Chrysler, Volvo, Cadillac, other big names
"the government should absolutely intervene and help the newcomers"

Where do you draw the line on this? Should all newcomers be subsidized? Every YC startup that wants to enter the automobile sector should be federally subsidized? What about newcomers in other industries like healthcare, banking, and mining? Should those be subsidized too?

That's misleading. 98% aren't "successes". 98% of the funds haven't been written off. That's relatively easy to do so when a large bulk of your loans are invested into large Fortune 500 companies with billions in assets.

How do you define success? The intention of the program was to make electric cars for the general public. Tesla so far has sold luxury cars to the rich.
