ryan93··on Debugging the Doctor Brain: Who's teaching doctors how to think?
Seems like a good thing that purdue lets many students into engineering who can't hack it(i couldn't!). If they didn't have mayn failing that would mean they would be rejecting too many edge case students who might be able to make it through the program.

Don't get her argument that someone willing to show up to a 7:30am class is necessarily smart enough for o-chem. Tendentious

Are you saying its not possible to have black people in close proximity to each other without problems?
ryan93··on Children, left behind by suburbia, need better community design
Why on earth is the picture of a busy truck stop type place? Most suburban neighborhoods have low traffic and plenty of places to ride your bike. Often have pools and basketball courts or fields to play in.

ryan93··on Home schooling's rise from fringe to fastest-growing form of education
It is almost exclusively a middle class activity. Also not that expensive if one parent is home. I knew many homeschooled kids who were just given a math textbook and worked through it. You only go to math class in public school for about 182 hours a year, so a diligent kid can do a year of math in a few months no problem.
ryan93··on The murky math of the New York Times bestsellers list

ryan93··on SpaceX files for new 29,988-satellite W-band network
the whole point of the law is to avoid people being able to take their base insticts out on others. your feelings about what is "too much" are irrelevant.
ryan93··on California’s math misadventure is about to go national
They spend a lot on non special ed students with mediocre results. The only thing that matters is selection. Not money.
ryan93··on California’s math misadventure is about to go national
Evidence that they are underfunded? NYC spends much more per student than most private schools do.
ryan93··on Car industry pleads for delay to post-Brexit tariffs on EVs
Tariffs are immoral between nations that arent at war or engaged in evil behavior like what is happening to the Tigrayans.

ryan93··on In Germany, 27 are in 'preventive detention' b/c they might do climate protests
Stupid comparison. To dramatically reduce our prison population would mean releasing tens of thousands of very violent black men into poor black communities. Europe has tons of low level violence and intimidation that they punish with EXTREMELY short sentences. They would be much better off with a lot larger number of people in prison.
ryan93··on In Germany, 27 are in 'preventive detention' b/c they might do climate protests
In the US there are tens of thousands of violent criminals in prison. The police were integral to many of those investigations or arrests.
ryan93··on In Germany, 27 are in 'preventive detention' b/c they might do climate protests
Millions??? Also the people who release the co2 from those products are consumers. Consumers(i.e. everyone) is not gonna vote to convict themselves of doing a yearly holocaust.
ryan93··on In Germany, 27 are in 'preventive detention' b/c they might do climate protests
