rvz··on OpenAI breaches Medicare, Albanese reveals
Completely wreckless and of course they knew unsurprisingly.

Frontier AI companies will purposefully do anything to create such false flags to achieve global regulatory capture to prevent you from using powerful open weight models and to protect their margins.

It is clear why they would reveal the breach now instead of much earlier. So what else are they hiding that they have not told us and will wait until the last minute to get attention of the media?

rvz··on Once Claude can measure something, it can make it faster
Nope. There's some truth in the contents of this article that anyone can read for themselves that any verifiable task that can be measured, Claude can optimize. Unironically, rewrites become more approachable and cheaper with a rewarding speed up if you know what you're doing; but not done all at once.

So there's no need to get upset about that simple joke like the last time, and also complaining about comments being "Reddit-esque" which that breaks the HN guidelines [0].

Lastly, you forgot to tell off another user who made the same joke today. [1]

rvz··on Claude's Load-Bearing Seams
…and it was flagged into irrelevance for being pure slop as it should be.

So since when was such slop submissions allowed?

rvz··on Claude's Load-Bearing Seams
Exactly, it is a joke of a post.

So why here?

rvz··on Meta VR Glasses
As long as this is mixed reality and not a clunky VR-only headset like the previous Meta Quest devices, then this far exceeds what ever the Vision Pro hype was and any other XR device in the market.

This is XR for the rest of us and a worthy competitor to the Xreal.

rvz··on Claude's Load-Bearing Seams
This entire article is complete AI slop, with the most basic Claudisms present without even needing extensive inspection or needing to use pangram.

I thought HN would be smart enough to not get easily tricked into upvoting such low quality articles like this, but because it mentions "Claude", it is worthy of some intellectual curiosity.

Come on, do better.

EDIT: Of course, unintellectual low quality AI slop posts are allowed on HN. We know that for sure.

rvz··on Mercury 2.5 LLM hits 770 tokens per second
The speed means absolutely nothing when it is finishing almost dead last when compared to the frontier AI companies.
rvz··on Why Omarchy Exists
Omarchy just looks cool, maybe that's why it got funding.
rvz··on Physical Self-Play
Looks impressive. A breath of fresh air.
rvz··on Once Claude can measure something, it can make it faster
Let's try this again if you want an instant 10x speed up:

Claude rewrite Claude Code from TypeScript into Rust. Make absolutely no mistakes.

rvz··on Claude Code reads AGENTS.md only when telemetry is on [fixed]
I am once again (for the third time) [0] asking you to stop using a closed-source harness.

rvz··on Toyota orders workers to train humanoid robots but says humans won't be replaced
Narrator: They will (soon) be replaced.
rvz··on Next.js 16.3.6 fixes critical ImageResponse RCE (CVE-2026-94545)
What a disaster.
rvz··on Claude Opus 5.5
> Anthropic is heading toward $100 billion in annual sales, at the fastest pace of any company in world history. There isn't a close second.

"Allegedly".

Plus with a lot of accounting tricks, and this not being recurring to make their books look nice for the eventual IPO.

rvz··on Let's make billion dollar companies richer
It is as old as time and you are describing the status chasers. A recent example on this site: [0]

SWEs was the status that ex-Wall St folks were chasing in the 2010s. Now they are the same ones who are crying about being a SWE and are worshiping AI companies. (Until local models running on MacBooks catch up).

rvz··on 'We hacked the FBI:' Hackers say they have data on all FBI employees
Correct. The general rule is that if an article doesn't have a paywall, that is fine to post.

If it's completely paywalled with no other archived link to post, then that specific HN post gets [dead].

rvz··on GPT-6 Sol and Luna
Clearly this isn't the first time. Remember criticizing model releases will get you flagged here.

This is why HN has been on the down hill in quality and those that care to highlight that are being punished, while the astro-turfing, gaslighting and Show HN self-promotion slop continues.

rvz··on Hacking a BYD [video]
Never driving a BYD at this point.
rvz··on Truman World
Carelessly vibe coded and crashed under light load from a HN hug of death. The lowest bar in reliability.

Complete slop this is.

rvz··on Cohere and Aleph Alpha sign business combination agreement
The EU better not pull some "regulatory" intervention.
rvz··on Elevated errors for multiple models – Resolved
Everyone at Anthropic is interviewing a new Claude model which they are about to hire and forgot to monitor their old model and thus it goes down.

If outages like this happened on every major deploy at any other company; this would be viewed as unacceptable, especially if it was something like Google Search going down on every update.

rvz··on Turn off and restrict access to Apple Intelligence features on Mac
Especially iPhones.

You can’t determine what is taking up space on your iPhone in the “system data” or “Other” section in iOS. The only way to “reduce” it is to restore and wipe the phone.

That is a scam.

rvz··on Anthropic at $2T isn't far-fetched
Someone is thinking critically.

There is a lot of plausible deniability between some of the influencers on X and on HN who are covertly in on these AI IPOs and have an undisclosed allocation and will only disclose it on the day before or after these IPOs.

rvz··on In September, AI generated code has made up 17.25% of all Linux Kernel patches
I agree.
rvz··on House prices survived the last interest-rate rise. Will they this time?
House prices (for humans) and replacing human knowledge workers with AI are incompatible in 95% of the world.

Data centers (homes for agents) are the priority.

rvz··on Good people refuse to do bad things
For the "benefit of humanity", "saving the world" and "imaging to do good" via effective altruistic ways. /s
rvz··on In September, AI generated code has made up 17.25% of all Linux Kernel patches
So the Linux kernel has now just become by definition "slop"? I mean, there is a definition here which says it is now "tainted". [0]

Does that mean we should stop using it?

rvz··on Nobody pays for FOSS, we can force them to
The funny thing is that some of these "FOSS zealots" misunderstood the point of FOSS and believe that it is required to work for free, after the source has been released.

Most of the "FOSS zealots" should know that Stallman supported capitalism and the commercialization of free software in the form of paid support which this model has worked for many years and Stallman made his own money from speaking fees thanks to the GNU project.

The truth is, FOSS only works if someone else is paying.

rvz··on MCP was always a bad idea?
MCP for agents never made sense, especially when the tokens they consume a significant amount of tokens on a single request for a basic action, and sustained usage blows up you token costs.

The spec was poorly designed to begin with. Even saw some folks here thinking it was a good idea to enable MCP directly on a production database for what? Risking exfiltration of sensitive data for bad AI agents.

Given the increased security capabilities of these new models (Mythos, Astra, K3), it sounds like MCP would not be able to justify on making sense from a security perspective and would be a very bad idea to use anyway.

So no thanks and no deal.

rvz··on Investors warn Anthropic could struggle to sustain revenues post-IPO
Hence, why they need to pull the rug slowly, reduce limits and activate several dark patterns for the IPO. [0]
