Help me understand the rationale behind the original automation effort on reading your child's school reports? I would have thought that is an event that is pretty infrequent, quite important, with not enough historical data to train a useful model.

Does this provide any protection? I've never undergone any sort of 'digital search' do they force you to provide your passcode? Do the forensics tools they use bypass user level protections like pin codes/finger prints?

Don't call your direct reports underlings for a start.

How do you have little in common with them? You've just spent many, many years performing their role. The key to success in this role, as is the case is most is to display empathy for those around you. Once you are able to do this, the correct choices with regards to the administrative particulars of the role will be easy to see.

What does it say about us as a society in which a pre-high school child needs to use a productivity suite to manage their lives? The answer here is not to provide more software to allow 11 year olds to eek out a few extra percentage points of productivity. The answer is to expect less of 11 year olds.
