Poor and stupid

rum3··on Dark Web Drug Sellers Dodge Police Crackdowns
The access will always be easy anyway. The only difference is that now people have access to high quality drugs which are much less damaging, not some shit that has changed hands ten times, with each duckhead cutting it with whatever they have nearby.
rum3··on Dark Web Drug Sellers Dodge Police Crackdowns
It saved lives by giving more people access to high quality drugs, as well as having a feedback and review system that made the vendors accountable for the shit they sold.

Harm reduction is a big thing on DNM markets and forums. You have information on how to safely use drugs and places to ask for advice. I bet it saved quite a few lives.

rum3··on Google Cloud Is Down
Google seems to be sort of like a sect of narcissists.
rum3··on Finland is launching a (laughably insecure) mobile driver's license
It doesn't have to be a modified version of the original app. It can just be an app that generates very similar looking graphics and animations, the "Funny Finnish Driving License Generator" or something. You think this would still break the terms/rules?
rum3··on Google Cloud Is Down
Keep on centralizing the internet with your stupid clouds and this is what happens.
rum3··on Google Cloud Is Down
Why did you install this in your house?
rum3··on Finland is launching a (laughably insecure) mobile driver's license
Obviously it will not take long until there is an app you can use to generate a fake driving license that has all the fancy anti-tampering animations. But will it be a money maker for the app creator, or will it be banned in the play store?
rum3··on Block Fingerprinting with Firefox
One simple solution I can think of is to restrict POST requests from Tor exit nodes while still allowing GET requests. Cloudflare will give you a impossible-to-solve captcha even if you just try to visit site.com/index.html and I see no reason for this.
rum3··on Block Fingerprinting with Firefox
Since they introduced the square-selecting captchas I have always assumed that they use it for identifying the user. I bet that depending on how you solve the captchas they can identify who you are if their system already has a theory of who you might be.
rum3··on Block Fingerprinting with Firefox
Cloudflare must be mentioned when talking about recaptcha and cancer. They are the ones locking people out from whole websites and forcing you to fill out these recaptchas. They are also the ones who have almost destroyed browsing the internet using TOR due to these recaptchas.
rum3··on Study Pinpoints Source of Banned Gas That Saps Ozone Layer: Eastern China
Usually if something is made in America it is a product of very high quality (except for food). This must be a deeper cultural thing and not just regulatory culture.
rum3··on We Will Not Be Registering EasyDNS.SUCKS (2015)
Why did they even open the gate and allow all these new stupid tld's? Who asked for it? It brought nothing good.
rum3··on First US AI-based vegetable company
12 lb = ~5.4kg. That is almost 10usd (~8.9eur) per kilo for fruits. Not a bit expensive?
rum3··on Alabama police raid home, take money out of man's wallet over $50 of marijuana
Such a strange country.
rum3··on Otonomo, with nearly $55M in funding, is cloning our product
A bit naive. I am sure the DMCA can be used to put some fire on their ass to rewrite the documentation though but not much more than that.
rum3··on Otonomo, with nearly $55M in funding, is cloning our product
I am sorry to hear that but it is does not really surprise me. I bet they will just rewrite their docs a little bit and then go on with their business.

Amazing that they have 55M$ in funding and still hire a bunch of amateurs. I bet the design for their docs is based on some free online template too because it looks very cheap.

I wish you all luck!

rum3··on Austrian government seeks to eliminate internet anonymity, with severe penalties
Alright then I am mistaken. But I do know for sure that you are required to show ID to get a sim card inside the country and there are no unregistered prepaid cards.
rum3··on Austrian government seeks to eliminate internet anonymity, with severe penalties
If it is like in Spain then the non-registered sim cards from other EU countries will simply not work if I remember correctly.

However I have heard that in Spain you could anyway buy unregistered sim cards from certain stores if you asked around and paid a bit more.

I will be happy when there are birth control pills for men and in all discussions I have seen around the internet pretty much everyone was positive as well. I also disagree that unwanted pregnancies are caused by men. I think both are to blame.

> Because, for the precious minutes when they’re penetrating their partner, not wearing a condom gives them more pleasure.

Maybe this must be some American thing. Only a few precious minutes?

rum3··on Canada Group Sues Government over Google's Sidewalk Labs
Finally a horrible Google product that can be vandalized! Spray cans for the cameras and monitors, glue and isolation foam spray for everything else! Those street cleaning robots wont last very long neither.
rum3··on Thank goodness we hired someone who can reverse a b tree on a whiteboard (2016)
Asking for it without using the modulus operator is a bit evil haha.

I like this exercise and I sent it to a friend who has a few years of programming experience but is still learning heavily.

The first solution lacked the number being printed but everything else was right. Second solution had the number, but he missed the FizzBall when the number was divisible by both three and five. The third solution lacked the Fizz when it was divisible by three. Finally his fourth solution was correct.

rum3··on Thank goodness we hired someone who can reverse a b tree on a whiteboard (2016)
How can FizzBuzz be complicated for anybody? The solution is so obvious. I thought it was some sort of trick question but apparently not.

It is really funny that some people spend months preparing for a job interview though it is equally morbid because they gotta be a bit insane to do it, and those are the people that will end up working on the next AI surveillance/manipulation technology.
rum3··on A Cult Japanese Retailer Making Billions Breaking All the Rules
It just looks like a regular Chinese bazaar store except Japanese. Do they sell pens that dries out after a few weeks? USB cables that starts glitching after two weeks? Shoes that fall apart after a few days?
rum3··on Lemmy: Federated Alternative to Reddit in Rust
It works really well and looks great.

Very nice work!

rum3··on Announcing AMP Real URL
Wow that is disgusting. Why does it need to include remote code to function? How can they even pretend this is an open standard when it has a backdoor?
rum3··on AMP pages displaying your own domain
They also push a browser based on Chromium. I wonder how many intentional incompatibility issues there will be with other web browsers that are not developed by G$$gle.
rum3··on EU Council of Ministers Approves Copyright Directive
If the website is not hosted in the EU then the law will have no effect.

I think many websites will simply move to other parts of the world. That is what I would do anyway.

rum3··on AMP pages displaying your own domain
Yes but it is much harder to MITM if the users are in different parts of the world.

Someone can buy a lookalike domain name using similar-looking UTF characters, send out a bunch of email spam with an URI that looks like the original, and once the user visits the webpage it instantly loads the AMP and suddently the URL is authentic. There will only be a very quick url change from the punycode url to the original that I doubt many will notice.

rum3··on AMP pages displaying your own domain
So now you can spoof a domain as long as you have the private part of the certificate even though you don't have control over the domain?

If I understand this right then this seems to open up some doors for some new email phishing scams.
