ruguo··on Apple introduces M6 and M5 Ultra
My M2 still does everything I need, but the M6 is seriously tempting.
ruguo··on Shadcn/UI now defaults to Base UI instead of Radix
Most of the websites I found are still on the radix version.
ruguo··on AI agent runs amok in Fedora and elsewhere
Prompt injection?

Or is this simply another example of why autonomous agents shouldn't get write access before earning trust?

ruguo··on VoidZero Is Joining Cloudflare
First Bun went to Anthropic. Then Astro and now VoidZero to Cloudflare. Feels like all my favorite open-source projects are getting adopted by the giants.
ruguo··on The solution might be cancelling my AI subscription
AI makes me far more productive, but I’ve lost quite a bit too. There’s less fun in coding these days, and it leaves me feeling adrift at times.
ruguo··on Accelerate
What’s the main use case for this?
ruguo··on A Claude Code and Codex Skill for Deliberate Skill Development
Just tried this skill, pretty interesting. The Q&A at the end actually went surprisingly deep.
ruguo··on How can Apple deal with the memory shortage?
I wonder if companies like Apple will eventually start making memory themselves.
ruguo··on Tell HN: Dont use Claude Design, lost access to my projects after unsubscribing
It’s pretty outrageous to lock out all your history just for canceling the subscription.
ruguo··on .apks are just .zips; semi-legally hacking software for orphaned hardware [video]
Indeed so
ruguo··on Show HN: I put an AI agent on a $7/month VPS with IRC as its transport layer
MiniMax M2.7 is actually pretty solid. I’ve been using it for coding lately and it handles most tasks just fine, but Opus 4.6 is still on another level.
ruguo··on IDEmacs: A Visual Studio Code clone for Emacs
If you don’t use it that often, you might wanna try the Emacs plugin for VS Code instead.
ruguo··on Mock – An API creation and testing utility: Examples
Does it support Windows? I don’t see a Windows version on the GitHub releases page.
ruguo··on From VS Code to Helix
First time hearing about the Helix editor, and I gotta say — it really caught my eye. I’m not super familiar with Vim, but I’m definitely gonna install Helix and give it a try.
ruguo··on Smartphones manipulate our emotions and trigger our reflexes
The algorithms are getting kinda scary now — they probably know me better than I know myself.
ruguo··on AI can code, but it can't build software
True. AI might not have a soul, but it’s become an absolute lifesaver for me.

To really get the most out of it though, you still need to have solid knowledge in your own field.

ruguo··on Rust cross-platform GPUI components
It does look pretty solid, but whenever I’m building a desktop app with Rust, Tauri is always the first thing that comes to mind.
ruguo··on Microsoft 365 Copilot – Arbitrary Data Exfiltration via Mermaid Diagrams
I honestly can’t even remember the last time I used Copilot.
ruguo··on You already have a Git server
Looks like they’re not developers after all
ruguo··on Making a micro Linux distro (2023)
Thanks a lot for this awesome informative post, I genuinely learned a ton from it!
ruguo··on Show HN: Deta Surf – An open source and local-first AI notebook
Running a local LLM sounds like a solid use case, just not sure if it actually performs as well as the description claims.
