Cool, I think there's a bug when switching themes in the web ui in Safari, the artifacts example with the dark red background isn't readable in light themes. Vesper would be a nice theme to add.
Topcoat needs an Inertia like React integration + Stylex (type safe CSS) on the frontend imo if you want make it as agent friendly as possible. HTMX, Tailwind etc. are still ok but folks who switch to Rust now do this mostly for easier and safer automation. So if you want to grow the framework better think about React.
Depends a lot on the token budget I think, different situations for established businesses or strapped founders vs side hustles or hobbyists. So in a way you outgrow Rails or frameworks like it once you can afford a software factory on autopilot 24/7.
MacOS GG didn't fit on my 16gb USB drives for a clean reinstall so I decided to upgrade from Tahoe and do a clean wipe afterwards, expecting that this leaves me with a clean GG install. But guess what, after wiping I was back on Tahoe after spending hours updating..
I think people prefer to look at traditional architecture but prefer to live in modern architecture because at least inside it is better optimized for actual human needs (designed to maximize space, light etc).
The contradiction between outside (public space) and inside (personal space) is worth discussing as well.
Whats the advantage over plain single html files/apps using colocated css and use the browser/web view local storage? Those could be saved as PWAs or not?
Missing out on flawless App Intents integration could be business risk for Shopify once people get used to doing everything from a central chat interface, including shopping. I guess it's the real reason for the switch.
You can't have a proper soundstage in a car no matter your setup, which kinda degrades a lot of music that wasn't designed for clubs. In a car it's basically background music when you're driving because you can't really give the music your full attention anyway (passive listening), where the lack of focus also masks a lot of details you'd hear on a proper stereo system (active listening).
Edit: to answer your question below, I like both, active and passive listening. But I wouldn't try to optimize for active criteria like details in a passive evironment like a car, so I'd spend more money on fun things like buttkickers instead of high end detail.
The timing is interesting. Stylex (Metas CSS in JS library) is taking off right now because it seems a better fit for AI driven coding in the long run.
Omarchy imo is best for agent maxxing Mac power users who aren't locked into Apples proprietary apps like Final Cut, audio production software or Adobe and Affinity, so maybe not so great for designers and photographers as the main system.
I can only guess as well, infinite time compression might result in a big bang when it applies to everything. All black holes could lead to the same moment causing the bang.
They're fanning Brexit-like situations all over the EU though. Those parties (e.g. the far right Afd in Germany) are EU critic and would rather have their own version of the EU with like minded countries. Or Varoufakis (far left, previously at Valve) in Greece for example, also EU critic.
They'll get adequate feedback in the next elections If this doesn't get stopped, otherwise every business and their peers will likely vote for EU critic parties which means far left or far right.
Was about to sell the parts of my old Haswell Hackintosh which I did replace with a M1 Mac Mini a couple of years ago after 10 years in use, but now I might just dust off my old Lian Li case build it back together for Omarchy as my dev and tinker machine. Still has double the RAM of my Mini..
> The best answer I can come up with is that they're betting on people building apps without knowing how to code—that this alone will be enough to leverage LLMs and turn a profit, capturing a market that's scared away from tools like Claude Code.
With Claude Code etc. you still have to decide on a tech stack, frameworks or libraries to build on. Lovable is basically an agentic harness with Tanstack Start and Supabase setup for you + quick integrations for services online businesses typically use.
Basically like a JS dev boilerplate + agent in a box.
Their main advantage is they were kind of a first mover in that space before harnesses or agents etc. were even discussed.
Maybe a bit late to ask but how would an EffectTS backend integrate seamlessly? Im looking for a full stack agent driven workflow including domain modeling, designing state machines (with Xstate or SCXML?) etc.
Just wondering how a matching backend framework for correctness would look like. Ideally something that doesn't repeat the React mess with two routers but fits right in Inertia style.
Germany could turn it around with laxer laws about permanent residency and new infrastructure. Allow people to live permanently in mobile homes, vans and caravans which they can rent to won from automobile makers, invest in campsites. The good future imo isn't megacities but distributed cities with families and social circles congregating.
Wow, didn't realize that you're the one behind the Webcrunch channel. Never got into Rails but I loved your Affinity videos back in the day, you're also one of the functional CSS/Tailwind early adopters on YT.
That's where I discovered TW back in 2018 I think. It was even before the Refactoring UI book and videos and the first official version of TW.
