rozularen··on Talk = GPT-2 and Whisper and WASM
OpenAI chat uses GPT-3 which, as some other user already pointed out, is not even close to GPT-2 in terms of generating text
rozularen··on Show HN: We have built a benchmark platform for graph databases
I've been working with Neo4j daily for the past 3+ years and at first I was surprised by the comparison until I discovered memgraph works in-memory in contrast of Neo4j which works on disk. As others commenters have already said, I'd make it clear in your page to make it fair.
rozularen··on Ask HN: Do you look angry while you work?
Definitely, a coworker asked me some time ago what I was frowned up on only to answer him I was just focused
rozularen··on EU Passes Law to Switch iPhone to USB-C by End of 2024
Not only that Android is cheaper but also the mean income in countries where Android is prevalent is lower than those where iOS is, with exceptions like Germany, France (I'd need to see market share data from these exceptions)
rozularen··on This house does not exist
the next level would be the A.I making "sense" of the interior spacing or the layout in general so it could generate more accurate houses
rozularen··on Ask HN: Are authors of “how to be great developer” blogs great developers?
Agree, even though many consider coding is a craftsmanship, it's not supposed to be seen as art
rozularen··on Ask HN: What are the ways you go about getting comfortable with a new codebase?
Hey, I'd like to get a grasp of how to do what you're explaining, would you have any link or resource by chance? thanks!
rozularen··on Building friend catchers
My aunt owned a cyber about that time. Instead of spending my free time playing in the (dangerous) streets of Brazil, I spent it playing Warcraft III, CS and surfing the web. Yes, I don't remember exactly when but I think I was, at most, 5 years old?
rozularen··on Brazilian Amazon lost 18 trees per second in 2021
How can I report this comment? I find it offensive.
rozularen··on Building friend catchers
I don't know, I think your dad's advide is pretty spot on? Just that it isn't mutually exclusive with the fact that IF you want to be recognized by the content you put up, you'll have to associate your name with it.

I started surfing the web in the early 00's when I was like 3 or 4 yo so it sticked to me the whole nickname thing way before asking for First Name and Last Name, cell phone, ID number, street address was the norm (depending on the service ofc)

rozularen··on How to Improve Your Monolith Before Transitioning to Microservices
I'd argue the exact opposite and would say it's the perfect example of mixroservices architecture.

you'd have one instance for your auth token generator, one for the gateway, one for the dashboard, and so on

rozularen··on Public Money, Public Code
I think it's mainly because of money? Sure if there were any existing public open source infrastructure people would be more willing to contribute for free.

I think this brings the open source developers income issue to the table which is getting better but at its own pace.

rozularen··on College became the default – Let's rethink that
Yeah, I agree with you in points #1 and #2 but point #3 in my opinion is only a matter of practice.
rozularen··on Tell HN: We have a responsibility to speak out against blockchain technologies
survivorship bias?
rozularen··on Ask HN: How do you get out of a rut?
It'd be great to be able to buy a pill that instantly turns anyone into a disciplined person.
rozularen··on Data-Oriented Architecture (2020)
what other type of database do you use then instead of relational databases?
rozularen··on The Goiânia Accident (1987)
would never expect to see this incident from my hometown in the front page of HN...
rozularen··on Encrypting Postgres Data at Rest in Kubernetes
why is that?
rozularen··on Show HN: Resume maker with no sign-up or subscription
this makes contrast with every other opinion I've ever heard about keeping the CV short and clean
rozularen··on There are six internet links on my office on wheels—seven when Starlink arrives
would adding a black stripe over instead be better?
rozularen··on How mindfulness could make you selfish
only when one is feeling nice with itself can share and spread love to others... I think mindfulness might be a great tool to achieve that stability
rozularen··on Copilot regurgitating Quake code, including sweary comments
Guess someone had to try it
rozularen··on Archaeologists recreated three common kinds of Paleolithic cave lighting

rozularen··on A teenager's guide to avoiding actual work
Thanks for this post, as others commenters said, it really resonated with me.
rozularen··on Explaining 4K 60Hz Video Through USB-C Hub (2019)
With the following constraints how would one manage to have the less amount of cable dangling around?

1 PC (personal use, desktop or laptop)

1 work laptop

2 Monitors

Keyboard & Mouse

Be able to connect the work laptop with only 1 cable and switch keyboard mouse and monitors to it

Maybe should I look for a KVM switch instead?

rozularen··on Turkey bans use of cryptocurrencies for payments
>In a statement explaining the reason behind the ban, the bank said these assets were "neither subject to any regulation and supervision mechanisms nor a central regulatory authority," among other security risks.

That's exactly what they made for, duh

rozularen··on Creating a side project when you don't need the money
Hey Jose, how much time did it took you to build this project?

Thanks, awesome work

rozularen··on Villarejo: The rise and fall of the Spanish state’s secret fixer
Agree, I don't know where the people who replied this thread reads about Spain. Most of them suggest it's an average Country by the metrics
rozularen··on Villarejo: The rise and fall of the Spanish state’s secret fixer
Most metrics is subjective.

The metrics most spaniards look are -General Unemployment rate -Juvenile unemployment -Minimun Salaries -Buy and Rent prices in principal cities

And in most of these Spain is at the bottom
