royal_ts··on Regexper – Regular expressions visualizer
I'd love to have it the other way around. Human speech to RegExp.I find it really hard to write these expression, e. g.: A colleague needed to write a RegExp for a nickname alias for a URL. It had to have only letters and numbers or a specific number. So either name34 na34me or 23 would be valid.

The Pixels price at least in the Google store has been pretty steady afaik. A buddy of mine one thing to consider for this price bump is the CE certificate which companies have to get for their devices. Still weird that Samsung and other don't seem to have these problems.

The € price is ridiculously higher than the $ price. The smaller pixel costs 799€ which includes 19% of taxes (in Germany), the 649$ does not contain taxes. Still that's a difference of 150€ on top of my hat. There's also a fee which manufactures have to pay (GEMA which collects money for artists and so on). Guess they also include that Google Home Mini in this price which is kinda dumb. Not going to buy with such a huge price bump

I'd like to know how iPhone X users control (play pause) apps directly from their lockscreens. That no longer works right? Isn't that a major disadvantage?

Most Frontend-Frameworks do have Localization-features so that's kind of easy to do. But other features like Bluetooth are nowhere to be seen (Blink Browser can do this - but it's far far away from a standard)
royal_ts··on Ask HN: What do you want to see in Ubuntu 17.10?
FLAVOR: Ubuntu Desktop

- HEADLINE: easy way to remap keys

- DESCRIPTION: until now I had to write a script wich runs on startup and maps my print key to the secondary menu key - this gets lost after opening my laptop from its sleep state. I want a nice GUI w/o having to write a script

- ROLE/AFFILIATION: (Optional, your job role and affiliation)

You may want to check out Aurelia too. One of Angulars main devs left the Angular Team because of its direction and build Aurelia the way Angular should have been.

I played with it a bit and what's awesome about it that you just write plain JS most of the time. No weird stuff like JSX and whatever. Docs arn't that great tho

royal_ts··on Why does Siri seem so dumb?
Works good with Google for me, also German and English
royal_ts··on Atom 1.11
e. g. when pasting content - Atom wont paste it at the same position your cursor is at, it pastes content at the very beginning of a line. Very annoying
