It gives you a password chain you can input into another browser to link it. It worked on my mobile, but not on another Windows 10 machine. https://www.reddit.com/r/brave_browser/comments/dhqvyz/sync_...

I'm curious if some of these are actual discriminatory bias' or just harmless cultural norms. Something like associating men with football can hardly be considered bias.

Oh god, Sneakers

Did they fix their sync issue yet? I couldn't get my laptop and desktop to work together so I switched over to Firefox.

These things sound delicious.

Honestly, I really don't care if sites like Snopes or Wikipedia shut down or disappear. While I appreciate what they provide and what they at least claim to provide, no one should be considered the gate-keepers of all that is not "fake news". BTW I did donate to Wikipedia this year...

There is no going back, our entire way of living is unsustainable, climate change is going to happen. Good news is, planet Earth will be fine, give it a few thousand years, it has survived far worse.

Speaking of that, what about PeerTube? Looks like it's still alive.

His argument is that he was serving a single life sentence and his "dying" means it was served. Lame, but he's probably got the time...

Sure, but that just comes down to preference. Some might dream of that "thousand of books" scenario. Doubt they read even half though. Maybe it comes down to being a book collector or not.

I can't tell if your comment is pro/anti physical books lol.

The physicality of a book is something that can't be totally replaced on a kindle or an iPad. I feel the bulk of the push to pure digital is coming from publishers trying to lower costs. Which you can't blame them for that.

LastPass is cheaper too. Or if you're really cheap, leave your lastpass login written down somewhere where friends and family will find it.

I've got it pinned in the taskbar next to N++

Parents don't make adults out of children, children make adults out parents.

It makes me want to implement it immediately.

So, FireFox or Brave? I'm currently using Brave and very happy with it.

The science here and although it's different, makes me think of the "I’m Convinced We Found Evidence of Life on Mars" article posted here a few days ago. If they are able to draw these conclusions with such limited data, I doubt they've missed anything obvious on the surface of Mars.

Devils Tower for much of the east cost US I'm guessing?

Given enough time, even black holes explode. Hypothetically of course.

There's having Facebook and then there's using Facebook. I think most people who say they don't use Facebook still maintain an account for things that require it.

If he had just incorporated himself he could do that legally along with all the other predatory "companies" doing this to YouTubers.

IDK, what would be the motive to hide that?

That's where they got me.

Whether they follow through or believe any of this is irrelevant, that's what lawyers are for.

Almost everyone is going through puberty at the same time for one thing.

This one I think is valuable for all ages: "When you’re young, care more about building human quickly and not so much about financial capital. The human capital will pay much larger dividends over your lifetime."

I've worked from home quite a bit over the past few years and I've begun to notice it affecting my personal/communication skills. I'm actually trying to get back into the office more often.

Yeah, that was my take away from the paper, which doesn't describe the blood as artificial, just some of the components. The HN title is a little misleading, which would better read: "Modified blood that can work for all types and has a shelf life up to a year"

On page#2 under "Preparation of HbVs and H12-(ADP)-liposomes" am I reading it correctly that this "artificial" blood is still derived from blood?
