The good thing about this is that it forces you to think about what to write. The bad thing is that it doesn't force you to think about how to write it so it's easy to read and understand, just so it's exactly the right length...
You could perhaps run over the segment splitting points (plus a few seconds back and forward) in a second batch then merge the results in the end so you don't miss anything.
I remember the magic that was 1GB (and "infinite" because it kept slowly growing) email storage back when Hotmail gave you maybe 5MB. Crazy to think it was over 20 years ago.
Any mention of the Laffer curve should be taken with a grain of salt... Historically it's always used to push a viewpoint that somehow society would be better if only we didn't tax the people who can most afford to be taxed.
