rizky05··on IronCalc – Open-Source Spreadsheet Engine
This reason met my definition of democratization:

> Empowering SaaS Developers: Hundreds, if not thousands, of companies have implemented half-baked spreadsheets in their systems. IronCalc aims to provide these businesses with a superior, open-source alternative that enhances their SaaS applications.

I am currently creating SAAS and the idea of implementing LibreOffice on top of my offering just not gonna work.

rizky05··on My PHP Problems
It is powerful indeed. But PHP syntax feels unelegant and making me write unnecessary ceremony. It feels different when I write typescript code, every character I type fits like lego.

Especially when my codebase grows so much. Navigating PHP project is like thrown in forest without a map, you can always look up the sun to find your way.

rizky05··on UUID v7
An ID is like social security number. When you give it away on the street corner, who knows what other people will do with it.

IMHO, leaking an ID always impose a risk. It is always have negative impact if leaked, no matter how perfect your system is.

I just tried it. It feels like postman, very slow when typing json body. But it's small, and startup time is instant. I prefer bruno, but we do not talk about bruno.
rizky05··on SumatraPDF Reader
There are plethora of cross-platform UI toolkit, each have their own philosophy. IMO, current popular toolkit have declarative aspect in it. Believe or not the most mature UI toolkit is the one built for chromium. It just works everywhere.

EDIT: Another commenter suggest only office as example. IIRC, they are building it using chromium as front-end and .NET as backend.

rizky05··on Refactoring has a price, not refactoring has a cost
it works when the requirements never change. If somebody demands change, you screwed.
rizky05··on Can You Customize My Startup's Login Page?
The thing is: We don't know what we should optimize first. Sure, We should make our core offering very good so that customer buys it. If We feel our offering is compelling enough, what's next?

Does optimizing landing page counts? or reworking that pesky login page?

Or, maybe main offering is not compelling enough?
