rishav_sharan··on Amazonian civilization had estimated 3M people in 3% of forest area
Can you share some thing to read up on this. Most of these claims do sound fantastical. I am not even sure how would one verify that Rigveda is an "unbroken" oral recitation over thousands of years.
rishav_sharan··on Amazonian civilization had estimated 3M people in 3% of forest area
Oh and some researchers are putting down the story of "seven sisters"/pleiades to around 100k years ago, back when the 7th star in the constellation was visible
rishav_sharan··on Amazonian civilization had estimated 3M people in 3% of forest area
No. And it's not even close.

Rigveda would be around 1500Bce. Even Sumerian cuneiform would be far older at 3000 bce. If you want oldest oral records, some Australian aboriginal stories would be the ones at 8000 bce

Don't know about any agenda but indian gov sites suck big time. Ux, functionality, stability, information flow - every thing is barely adequate

rishav_sharan··on Why Nim?
> Why did Rust break through, for example, while so many other excellent languages didn't.

Unfortunately, a lot of this is just enterprise sponsorship. Rust had Mozilla's backing. React had FB's backing, while Vue doesn't. And so on.

There are of course, many other reasons as well, but to me this seems to be a critical one.

> Is anyone on pace to meet those targets? Canada isn't.

India, one of the poorest countries by per capita GDP met its target before deadline. Better than looking at others, US need to ensure that it meets its own targets. Because its the sole super power and at an international level without US leading sustainability, there is no hope for the rest of us.
