>It cuts developing time drastically using code generation and scaffolding features

This is true for CakePHP 1 And 2 but not for the latest (3). The scaffolding features has been removed.

richerlariviere··on Unethical Growth Hacking from YayView
I would be curious to capture all the network requests done by this app. Maybe we didn't see all the iceberg.
richerlariviere··on Why I’m joining the Dart team
I think the future of client side programming will see an increase of transpilled languages. Just look at Dart, Typescript with angular 2.0, or coffescript. JavaScript popularity is not a popularity due to the fact it is a language loved by everybody but because it has a monopoly.

:) Thanks for the feedback.

I just got a "Payment Service Unavailable" error. Despite this fact, I love your animations. Even my mother could understand those algorithms now :). Keep working hard this seems to be a good seed with lot of promises.
richerlariviere··on Ask HN: Computer Science Learning Resources
Hey, maybe you will find something interesting with the "Awesome" list on Github? https://github.com/sindresorhus/awesome
richerlariviere··on Python moves to GitHub
I'm not scared of Github. If they take bad decisions for the community, we will tell them. But I have to agree that the worst is the lack of competitors.
richerlariviere··on Show HN: Create your own 2015 Year in Review
The website is a bit broken on my iPhone 6S running Safari. Congrats for your project it is cool.
richerlariviere··on Ask HN: What one thing do you want to learn or achieve in 2016?
I want to setup my life in order to make it stimulant and balanced. You know, to deal with healthy lifestyle, job, social, contribution on OSS projects and self-learning.
richerlariviere··on Ask HN: Manual daily task that takes = 5 minutes
Hey thanks! I will take a look.
richerlariviere··on Ask HN: Manual daily task that takes = 5 minutes
Check if I got a reply on HN. I don't always go to threads page it would be nice to automatically be warned about a reply.
richerlariviere··on Ask HN: Arduino or Raspberry PI for teenager?
If he wants to build the hardware: buy Arduino

If he wants to build the software: buy Raspberry (since the motherboard is already built)

Those are cheap so you could buy all of them :). I would personally recommend the Raspberry Pi because the default OS (wheezy raspbian) contains lot of resources to learn programming as a beginner. If you go on the Arduino way, buy the starter pack, as it contains a "cookbook" with many projects.

richerlariviere··on Our sons' student debt is delaying our retirement
The U.S. educationnal system is wrong. If you go to Canada, you will pay less than 30k$ for you entire program. It's illogical to waste 4 years if you don't have solid chances to get a job and make it profitable, maybe it is not the place to go and/or the career to follow.
richerlariviere··on Ask HN: 11 days off for Christmas vacation – What would you learn?
I plan to play around with D3.js library. I love to play with drones. I want to produce beautiful visual charts to display many drones stats while it is flying.
richerlariviere··on Ask HN: PhpMyAdmin alternatives?
You could just use MySQL from the command line. But if you're looking to a GUI I can't help you.
richerlariviere··on Waterproof Quadcopter Is Also a Submarine
This is cool but the autonomy problem remains. Most (aerial) drones can't fly more than 15 minutes. I am curious about the power used underwater to move it.
richerlariviere··on Show HN: A History of the Future in 100 Objects
Cool. Any link here?
richerlariviere··on A installer for Node.js and npm with update, install and remove functions (args)
This is pretty cool. I always wanted to be able to uninstall/install nodejs. Keep working hard.
richerlariviere··on Show HN: Pay to win tic-tac-toe for Android
Did you implement minimax algorithm?
richerlariviere··on Use Windows 10 on Your Mac with Boot Camp
You can use TrackPad++ for extended trackpad support. http://trackpad.powerplan7.com/ but it is not official.
richerlariviere··on Use Windows 10 on Your Mac with Boot Camp
I always had problems with Bootcamp. Drivers are unstable. I prefer to run Windows as a Virtual machine so I can enjoy both Mac and Windows. I'm using VMWare Fusion. It support many trackpad gesture (Bootcamp cannot do that). You will only need more RAM.
richerlariviere··on Ember.js 2.0 Released
I'm amazed with that kind of release. Ember didn't do the same thing like Angular, CakePHP, Python, etc. That ensure that the documentation and all the Stack Overflow questions will stay relevant.
richerlariviere··on Show HN: Free cloud server for life
How can you ensure that the free offer will stay profitable for you?
richerlariviere··on Meet new people instantly in real time
Little mistake "Start interatcing "
richerlariviere··on Ask HN: Does modern software development require too much knowledge?
You can keep your software development workflow simple. Example: You could do a website using Html5, CSS3 and Old-school Javscript or you could use all the tools like grunt, bower, CoffeeScript, SASS (or LESS) etc... It depends on the level of engineering you want to put into your project.

Thanks for your input!
richerlariviere··on I Don’t Need No Stinking API: Web Scraping for Fun and Profit
I'm looking for Web scraping challenges. Do you have any suggestion, Hacker News community?
richerlariviere··on Show HN: Wtfstarter.com – A Crowdfunding campaign parody generator
I absolutely love the "About this project" section text. Great idea. I agree with what drcursor said so I hope this would help to remove a couple of fake campaigns on kickstarter.
richerlariviere··on Show HN: Forms within buttons
It is probably sarcasm.
richerlariviere··on Ask HN: What are your note-taking techniques?
I know this is probably not the kind of note-taking you are looking for, but if you're not affraid to take notes without a computer, you should really read about stenography: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shorthand
