I give it 12 months until the Pharmaceutical industry starts using this in a significant way. Currently, most Pharma ads on TV look like stock footage of random people doing random things with text and voice-over. So AI-generated? Sure, as if people are even watching the video action in any detail at all in Pharma ads. AI gen video companies that focuses on pharma will rake it in for sure in the short term.
[video prompt: Two elderly people taking a stroll on a boardwalk, partaking in various boardwalk activities.] [AI gen voice: Suffering from chronic blorgoriopsy? Try Neuvoplaxadip by Excelon pharamceuticals. Reported side effects include... Ask your doctor.]
That was my first thought as well - and also I had to reminisce about how sad it was that two of the biggest powerhouse technology companies from the early 1990s are no longer: Lotus and Novell. It would have been hard to imagine in the networked PC environment of the early to mid 1990s that those two companies are no longer around, one swallowed up (and spit out) by IBM and the other decayed into pieces. I wonder which of today's technology powerhouses we'll be reminiscing about 30 yrs from now.
The secret is automation that does things while you're doing other things. Parallel not series. I've even seen people secretly hire foreign virtual assistants to do their low value tasks for pennies while the employee focuses on the higher value tasks.
I also have some s7 but the version of android won't support the latest banking apps so it's becoming rapidly obsolete. What are you doing about app support on the android on s7?
"Our fund Humba Ventures is investing $250k-$500k in areas like energy, robotics, material science, and defense and aerospace. " - But a tiny drop in the bucket.
Why would anyone seek investment from such small amounts for deep tech when you can get the same or even much larger amounts of non-dilutive capital for Deep Tech in places like SBIR grants and other areas where there's funds for deep tech research?
I agree - this shows Signal in a good light. But it does beg the question what is the real financial incentive discussed in the article for the large tech companies to have such employee bloat? You'd think that employee bloat would be a hindrance to company value but it seems to be the opposite? The more employees it seems the better from a shareholder perspective? It does lead to wild hiring / firing swings but there must be a market logic to it somehow?
There are more ships in / around the Middle East and Persian Gulf, including 2 Carrier Strike groups (CSGs), the same number based in Japan, plus additional Amphibious Ready Groups, Fast Response Groups, and Landing support. That tends to support more action in the middle east region than against China / NK.
Navier has been very self-promotional, taking the boat and its founder on a tour all across the US selling (investors) and the community on hydrofoil-based boats.
Lesson learned: don't click on that Appeal button. That's the human confirmation they're looking for in the otherwise 100% automated system with no human in the loop.
The error message doesn't provide any sort of insight into whether or not that's the case. Contrary to that, the upload box says "Audio or Video File, up to 100MB". So that would imply that they aren't accepting only video input. While I agree with your suggestion that the reason why they seem to be accepting only video files is based on watermarking the output, the upload box seems to accept an audio file input. They should say "We only accept video file input". It's possible they accept audio-only files for higher level paid plans where you can uncheck the watermark box in the Advanced options.
I had the same problem. Then I watched the video and see that the upload is a video file not an audio file, so I uploaded as an MP4 and it worked. Seems like some sort of weird bug.
Any advice for PWA developers who are trying to make use of possibly attached hardware? I'm looking to build a POS app that needs to connect to a receipt printer and scanner, but having trouble finding support for the printer bit. Trying to avoid any pop-up dialogue that requires user confirmation.
Are there any projects that make use of those e-ink price tags that seem to be ubiquitous and maybe cheap(er)? Or are they locked to prevent their use for other applications? Not sure if there's a good source for those e-ink price tags on a one-off basis that's down in the low double-digit pricing.
Since the application for Dittofeed is similar to Mailchimp, which would be newsletters mostly and not transactional email, is that compatible with your primary business case at Resend? From what I can tell, Resend is mostly focused on transactional email and not on mass email messages such as newsletters, which is what I see as what Dittofeed is sharing with their Mailchimp alternative. If you're open to newsletters, let me know, and I'll give it a switch from Sendgrid!
It's a common misconception that people pay for value. They pay for perceived value, which isn't the same thing. What might be "useful" or "valuable" often has no value to others. What has value to others might in actuality be worthless on its own merit, but has perceived value to them. This explains the whole "influencer" ecosystem, and how some startups became quick Unicorns while others languished trying to raise even seed funding. There's very little correlation between what one thinks has value and what others value.
Go on some trips, do some life enhancing things. Don't throw yourself into work. Life is short. Find the little things that make life enjoyable. 8-10 weeks is not a lot of time, it's basically summer break.
Maybe I'm out of the loop but I never heard of the term energy-autark. Having looked up the definition, it means self-sufficient. Is there a reason for the use of the term autark?
Right, my response was more of a hope that continued research in this area would lead to possibly some solutions for earlier diagnosis and treatment. Cancer is such a cancer.
