retinaros··on Japan moves to tighten rules for foreigners
have u been in an amazon fullfilment center? a byd factory?
retinaros··on Japan moves to tighten rules for foreigners
I dont care USA it had mass immigration from the third world for decades before sweden. Compare the numbers of bombs and crime between sweden and japan/korea to see something interesting
retinaros··on Japan moves to tighten rules for foreigners
and for the bombs? its also a pixel on your chart? a pixel that didnt exist before right? another link for you: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/08862605241311611

Yes they are an industrial nation. Robots will replace blue collar immigrants
retinaros··on Japan moves to tighten rules for foreigners
Healthcare robots will ve there in less than 15y. Also boomers are the wealthiest generation in history they can afford a native healthcare worker
retinaros··on Japan moves to tighten rules for foreigners
Most of developed economies dont need blue collar foreign labor in the future. Some dont even need it now. There are no industries in uk or france and this labor role is mostly to suppress wages (we ve seen it with brexit and english truck drivers) . For industrial nations like germany before they shot themselves you do need this labor until robots and automation makes them obsolete. Way before 50years and then being a nation with low immigration is becoming a key advantage for a country cohesion and future. Finally every country at 25% youth unemployment (like france and spain) shoould block all immigration beside highly skilled immigrants
retinaros··on Japan moves to tighten rules for foreigners
There are Ceuta like events of a smaller scale every day at every border of western europe. Dont need to wait 50 years. Not a single european voted for this. French people also voted no to a european economy but those who seized power didnt care
retinaros··on Japan moves to tighten rules for foreigners
Its a great way to favor highly skilled immigrants and bar others from becoming a burden
retinaros··on Claude Opus 5.5
I doubt your test if you cant even notice that it is not the cheapest with just 4 numbers to compare.
retinaros··on Suspected sabotage causes major Netherlands rail disruption
do u live in russia?

I knew before clicking it will be one of the things they say. people are sheeps. they will say whatever they think is right up to a limit. then they will break this limit and punish everyone that is deviating from it. this is what happened in nazi germany, soviet union, china and in the US under biden and I can already see the premises of the next term of US presidency through the lindsay clancy reaction from millions of women. to me it feels like we broke this limit in the modern developed world now. sad that as humans we cant use our brains for better than following what our hiveminds say is truth

retinaros··on Small Models Have Arrived

retinaros··on Nvidia agrees to acquire Hugging Face for $13B
its always the most virtue signaling people (sam on "openess", dario on pretty much every word coming out of his mouth, HF) that ends up doing the worst things because they always tend to extreme. Funny to see them joining the biggest corporation on earth by market cap after the every day virtue signaling of pretty much every employee working for them.

very few people can lock a vision and fight billions dollars with integrity. In tech they mostly end up shadowed. People like JB Kempf with VLC or Bellard. Maybe even Torvald or Jeremy Howard belong to this list of people who could have been way richer than they are now if they wanted to go against their visions and beliefs.

retinaros··on Training AI to Paint with Code
I did that on SVG mostly to teach it to draw pelicans but also to generalize it. most of the behavior is from SFT on the base model tho. RL is very ineficient at style or at least at generating novelty out of distrib.
retinaros··on OpenAI: GPT 5.6 Sol price reduction (until at least Nov 21)
I said there is no evidence distillation is all you need as per the initial comment "The fact that AI models can be so easily distilled and replicated is such a stroke of luck." it is far from trivial to reproduce the capabilities of anthropic models for instance
retinaros··on OpenAI: GPT 5.6 Sol price reduction (until at least Nov 21)
the initial post infers that distillation is all you need. it is not. in 2026 you need large scale distributed inference of gigantic models, rl envs and millions of dollars runs to get to something decent. if you think glm just has to sft on traces of claude to edge Mythos on some cyber benchmark you are fooled.
retinaros··on OpenAI: GPT 5.6 Sol price reduction (until at least Nov 21)
Nothing against what I said in there. Distillation is far from enough to get to the frontier. Its at best a ramp (the most efficient one used by everyone ) that shortcut and saves millions of rl runs before a model moves.
retinaros··on OpenAI: GPT 5.6 Sol price reduction (until at least Nov 21)
there is no evidence. it shortcuts post training by a huge margin this is true. but that is all.
retinaros··on How Europe is killing makers and micro-entrepreneurs
at this stage europe is a machine for politicians to become wealthy through corruption, mass immigration, censorship, mass media control. that is why they hate X and are now fighting to ban it.
retinaros··on France's tax authority had data stolen on 680k taxpayers
Thing is they chose macron. They literally voted for him to remove from working people the same right they benefited. I do t inow why its hard for you To grasp. The data is public.
retinaros··on France's tax authority had data stolen on 680k taxpayers
i am actually a french muslim immigrant and all my life has been people like you - that likely identify as left and good willing people - telling me what to do and telling me i am indignant because I am uneducated or I dont follow what the common french leftist son of teacher thinks. The same thinking that made france irrelevant in 2026.

As for the boomers they totally choosing every of the characteristic I am talking about at every single vote they push. They are literaly the reason macron is in power and push for stuff like you know asking younger generations to work more than they did for less, paying more tax, getting bigger pensions, reducing unemployment benefits.

politicians are literaly elected by boomers that want to preserve their wealth and caste system.

retinaros··on France's tax authority had data stolen on 680k taxpayers
yeah. their fraternité ends when they need to fairly contribute.
retinaros··on France's tax authority had data stolen on 680k taxpayers
what bigotry? they are stealing the money and future of every french child being born and you defend them insulting people showing you the facts of bigots.
