Sadly I am unable to properly thank my mentors of 25+ years ago but perhaps I can still send a nice note to those who more recently are "someone who answers questions more than once.”
Secondly, do we collectively as smart people honestly care what the ivermectin crowd thinks about exploring the cosmos?

I don't think they are paywalled. Worth a read.
With SQL, that could be as simple as starting a transaction, doing your commando stuff, and committing it when you are satisfied.
But don't do that. Why are you doing anything like that in production. Why why why.
Thank you for the direct link to the Wyden/Lummis/Toomey amendment.
I don't know how anyone can keep track of what a final bill would look like - seriously need something like Git to even keep up.
I think I understand now when folks in Congress complain they "don't know what they're voting for". They need better tools.
Here are all 505 if anyone is interested: https://www.congress.gov/amendment/117th-congress/senate-ame...
I seem to recall that retiring to Mexico has been extremely popular the last decade or so. I have to agree with your point - each country is a quite different experience. If retirees can make it work then surely someone with a career can.
Here is some context on the September 2019 bailout (dated September 23), and they actually foreshadow that more intervention would be likely:

They even have "roadshows" where vendors literally compete with each other to get selected.
Why this matters to me is that by doing so, they have earned my trust. I have confidence that if I buy something at Costco I don't need to research it to the ends of the earth. I know it will be of good to great quality, and competitive on price.
It's almost literally the opposite of Amazon in this regard.
Anti-theft features largely work very well.
Removing the anti-theft features from very expensive phones is going to be a non-starter for the vast majority of people.
Not on your LAN but still harvesting your usage data (a feature!), and still hackable (smile for the camera!).
I was just thinking about this yesterday.
In the 80s and 90s it was popular to parrot moments from movies. Quoting them, mimicking them, or simply pointing at someone and drawing a parallel. In the early/mid 90s my friends and I used to make our own WAV files and we would even photoshop pictures every now and then.
Political memes are kind of like modern-day political cartoons in that they distill key points down into a very relatable and shareable form.
Human nature is human nature - I think it's always been around just using different tools and distribution methods. Kind of cool actually!
They do important work, and they're human.
This issue is super duper clear but nobody seems to "get" it.
Too enamored with the idea of a folk hero to consider the fallout from a long view perspective.
Really wish he had gone that route instead of the one he chose - and we'll never know for sure how pure his intentions were/are because of it.
iOS 13 shipped with the Mail app broken. That's almost as bad as not being able to make calls.
Would a BlackBerry ever ship with a broken email app?
That was never the point. The point was to be able to communicate complex concepts in a way that people could understand and work with.
Bravo for having done that!
