Build voter files from public data and connect them to a wide range of geospatial software. Open alternative to private databases like NGP VAN and NationBuilder for candidates without big money.

As a union organizer with Hack Club staff, this is only the surface - the things that are clear to the end consumer. It gets a whole lot worse on the inside; from payment below minimum wage, mandatory overtime beyond child labor law, hiring kids as contractors to deny them rights, union busting & retaliation and a blatant disrespect for members and community democracy despite pretending to be `teen-led.` I'm not going to re-hash the whole thing here, I've written an article on my blog, but Hack Club is a deeply misleading "charity" that suckers teens in trying to build a better world and funnels them towards supporting our ever-rapid decline into techno-fascism at the hands of the wealthy elite funding them.

I know the person behind this personally and can attest that they are a licensed ham.

registry, not registrar

boi.ngo for airport wifi

You can't get a .ONG without being a registered NGO.

I mean couldn't a registry also shaft you?

To answer the first question, yep it's just "oblong".

We exist so people don't have to go to freenom when they want their own but free domain. I've used Freenom in the past, and they are the worst experience.

That's why we have manual review.

No it doesn't. Firefox has terrible support for Passkeys at the moment. Try using Google Chrome/Edge/Safari/etc.

That's only for verifying email - it's WebAuthn/Passkeys.

The first one mainly. The Code of Conduct is just standard Contributor Covenant stuff for people who contribute back code.

Yep!

It's just that .ong is not associated with spam, unlike say freenom which gives people .tk and is used extensively for spam.

that's the fun of it :P

It would be nice if the bracket updated every minute, along with the game. So if the game concludes, it updates the bracket.

but the sprig team just wants to have fun. its exciting for them to NOT use a major engine. It feels new and exciting to work on things that are new, and not go along with the crowd. Time might be money, but we're still teenagers after all.

omay - sokoban+ is incredible

I've been loving my Sprig so far - great project from Hack Club!

Ok, it's restarted!

Oh, the rate limiting must be acting up. Lemme restart the server and it should be fixed until I get a chance to actually fix it.

I also agree about putting something in the modal about getting an instance up in running - will do.

I wrote this very simple url shortener to be an alternative to bloated programs like tinyurl and bit.ly. It's dead-simple and privacy respecting, as well as being open-source and self hostable! The website also has builtin support for self-hosted instances via a settings pane.

This is quite interesting. Will definitely play around with this!
