Well but why not having some more diversity in that area.
Just the title sounds like no one would be working on this angle.
All what the articles says I do achieve simply by using docker and I have all the nice integrations around. I can have any target environment setup and switch between them in seconds. And since I can mount my code directories directly into the docker containers I don't need to do any complicated scp like deployments.
Well, but in the end it's a matter of personal taste. I am happy where I am :-)

But the main thing is that the hash table lookup mostly is in the same memory area until you try to get the actual value out of it. Also the author mentions as a side note the problem with them "(though they do have their drawbacks in the worst-case scenarios, so you need to be careful)"
I use this for dispatching, enum creation, method creation etc.
But probably a good resource for people trying to save their time by macro based code generation ;)
Beside the accepted answer, there are also some other useful answers included.
However as others already pointed out, it's better not to use a regex for it, but a proper library for your language which would bail out as soon as it hits something invalid. With the hope that the library for the language does support that already.
He wrote 'on a new project' So you can indeed get to such an average with writing new code for some time.
